Another thought: Plenty of times in the past we've assumed we knew what Nemophila's sound and style were, only for them to suddenly veer in a different direction. There's no guarantee they won't do that again. I doubt we're going to be totally solo-deprived going forwards.

Mayu's baby boy at the beginning, then pictures with band members as kids ... and using AI between 5:53 - 6:26 to move the pictures (Hazuki said so on TwiX)

I had the exact same reaction as you, I was waiting for Hazuki to break into a solo at the same point and I definitely think they missed an opportunity there, Hazuki is as good as Saki or any other guitarist you can mention just not as flashy and I was really hoping that she would take the chance to shine with Saki gone. Still great but could have been amazing. 8/10 for me.

The follow on to "LIFE" in my opinion . Love to see the live version of this , I think we may get a Hazu solo during that . I give this 9/10 too .

They acknowledged in a Young Guitar interview released today that between losing Saki and moving away from a guitar player producer/writer that they are going to have a less guitar dominated sound now.

Right ok, Ill need to check out the Article but good that we have an idea of the way forward for the band, shame about the dropping guitars tho, was real hook point for me

I miss the more prominent solos too, and I'm still pissed about SAKI leaving, but let's not under-appreciate Hazuki's work on this regardless. We have several guitar tracks here and they're actually mixed quite nicely. There is some beautiful, clean kind of single-coil sounding stuff in the right-hand channel.
I wasn't impressed with the mix on the last song. Hazuki did get a solo but Hico (I presume) buried it in the damned mix. Production-wise, I think this is a nicer job.
Nice to see Mayu getting into her occasional rhythm role too. SAKI may have been the band's rock goddess but Mayu's still amazing: cool, badass and 可愛い all at the same time.
I think one of the things I'm saddest about is Hazuki and Hara-chan getting pushed apart to separate sides of a stage when they play shows. The comedy duo thing was perfect as it was.
But still my favourite band, and probably always will be.

Agree Hazuki is a rare talent, but id say she gets to shine more in KOIAI. Seems band have stated this is new direction, I still love the band and grateful i can still see Hazuki do what she does best in a another band :D Thanks for watching and commenting :D

Sorry I’m late and this is just my opinion. I loved the guitar duo’s before Saki left. Frankly, the guitars are one of many reasons I’m also a fan of Lovebites. I definitely agree with Hazuki’s ability step up and shred. However, I really like the sound of the current four piece. It is far more balanced. They spoke of this in more depth than I expected in a recent guitar magazine interview. They have no intention of adding a new member. Going forward as a four piece they can’t have the same very heavy guitar duo’s, nor do they want them. Therefore, they are brining Haraguchi-San forward at times to make a guitar versus bass duo. At other times they are using Mayu’s guitar to add some harmonies. The whole composition really needs the added choruses, and drops, to fill in for duels. To be sure I will miss the guitars, but I really like the direction they are heading. In short ask yourself the following question. If you lost and were not going to replace a guitarist on a predominately duo heavy guitar band, what would you compose? Great job so far, but never put Nemophila in a box. They will always surprise you.
