@Damian Johnny Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Well Australia you fucked up again. We will never have the chance to buy these great cars again. I notice Chinese made cars are at records sales in Australia,we only have ourselfs to blame that these are no more.
I felt Ford wasted an opportunity while developing the CD6/S550 platforms to develop a true replacement for the Falcon/Falcon Ute. The Explorer could have been the next Territory. The Ranger just is not a true Falcon Ute replacement. The Mach E Mustang will not be a true Territory replacement if it ever comes to Australia. The Mach E is not even a real Mustang. It’s just a crossover with the Mustang badge.
We had these utes in our local council long reach and the limited diff high clearance versions my off sider was 6 feet 4 the cab space was terrible with centre console we use to tow a dual axle tandem trailer with a John Deere ride on mower our area was on the flats and hills on a hot day with air conditioning on the engine would cook it's guts it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding going up hills the temperature gauge would go off the the clock with both thermo fans howling their heads off ..the transmission had a oil cooler that was a joke too small . lastly we would do a about a 120 ks perday towing it would chew more petrol than a bull could piss they were absolute rubbish ...I now own a Au series 2 Ute and a fg xr6 Barra the best two utes Ford ever made lots still on the road and on country roads as for the models on this ad. You never see them at all ...
The XG got the same 147kw 4.0 OHC power plant as the rest of the line up and it was commercial in nature, before they were seen as a lifestyle vehicle. Ford just wasn't prepared to develop a ute variant of the E series as they probably didn't see enough growth potential to make it worthwhile and the old shape was still holding out and still had superior load capacity to the then yo to date looking Commodore ute range. Buyers were probable satisfied with their practical side at the time. The EF alike nose was a clever life extension. It fooled me for a while.
Proves Australia's obsession with hilux was not necessary sometimes, ironically as the falcon ute got better ,hilux got more popular and less durable and with Thai free trade deal Ford made there work horse the ranger, which is a shame in a way ,because falcon always had superior power, comfort and handling.Ford could have easily made a 4x4 duel falcon if they wanted
Yes, I remember when Ford finally put a diesel in the Territory (2011?), they were surprised when it was immensely popular. Surely any Tom, Dick and Harry could have told them that this could have been offered years earlier.
Dirty diesel, not always superior option, back then slow and sooty,I don't see how that v6 land rover diesel territory was that much better, than the new 4.0ltr in territory , just as smooth , cheaper to buy and not much more thirsty, Australians got a bee in their bonnet about diesel to the detriment of our car industry and Thailand's gain, the Nissan patrol proves , petrol power can do everything a diesel can do without complexity of the pollution gear necessary to eradicate diesel soot
By 1995, buyers were getting tired of this shape, and wanted it updated to then current Falcon sedan appearance and specs. But it got worse before it got better......Ford imposed the hideous XH on us! I had an XE in a sedan with a 3-3 manual four spd.....slower than a fully laden Kenworth off the line. I traded it for a TP Magna sedan. It was a better car in every way. I no longer own cars, as I just don't need to where I live. I just hire if I feel the need for a getaway.
I disagree with everything written here. I've own a large number of different Australian fords from this time.. I think it's a good thing you don't own a car anymore, you'd only give a wrong opinion about it
They were as useless as hell. Too low, cargo area too small, and just two driven wheels. The ones that were near the coast rusted quicker than a length of reinforcing rod.
remember when aussie cars were made for the aussie market?

@Damian Johnny it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account !
@Duke Ismael you are welcome :)
I don't think I've ever seen one of these in the wild. I'm guessing they're almost collectible by now (I know I'd like one!).
They are rare, but not expensive. Not many people want them as much as the rtv.
A great forunner to the RTV a decade later. Nice video.
Right when they say you don't need a 4x4, most people with 4x4's never need to use them in their day to day running. AUS
While I do agree, it is handy in certain situations. In the bush alone, ide rather have 4wd than not. But the outback was a little ripper of a ute.
I saw one while on vacation in Puerto Rico. It was pretty cool.
Thanks mate I love my aussie Utes
Geezus that Driller's a huge bloke!
He's massive! Need him for the protests, will surely slap em silly
How I miss FORD AUSTRALIA
I dropped a eaton trutrac in my fg pov pac falcon ute. It's pretty damn good on gravel.

nice video mate. My dad has an xg outback and i have a xg s pack 5 spd
Ute Uncle Barry!
I’m doing mine up now 🔥💪
Bloody Awesome ute

My 07 by is the same thing but with a twin cam if it ain't broke dont fix it
I wonder if Ford revised & improved I;the rubber door seals and window seals, since the red dirt in the outback is much finer in size..
Until you try and open the door
Thay had fixed them by this point.
I worked for ford
Put over 400 000 on my 95 Ute should have retired to the shed but sold it😕
Should've made the sinbins with xr6 option wicked
I wish the XH had the XF front instead of the ugly EF front.
Why not just swap the panels
@@urabusliberty9258 its a different chassis
Yep not the nicest design by Ford
The XF front wasn't exactly a sight to behold itself.
Put an xr6 front on it

Very nice i have a xe ute
XY Ute was the best
If only they had a diesel option.

There no ranger but like em.
No there not a Ranger..
You can drain the oil in these
I want one!! lol

You'd hate a Commodore ute. They couldn't even take a pallet. The Ford could. Anyway, Ford offered a one tonner later on.

Table tops are far more practical imo.
What 4wd has a bigger bed? They have no room in the back
This is all incorrect
