What a lovely and immensely well put together video. Gracefully and respectfully done and very informative. I remember school trips to the castle in the 70’s. We change and grow older, but for the most part nothing changes to the castle. Imagine what those stones could tell us. Thank you for posting.
I grew up near this castle & appreciate the walk through ❤ We used to hang out sitting on a sandstone part facing Liverpool ✨ There used to be extremely old etched graffiti visible in the sandstone; very artfully done too 🧡 the oldest i found at one point in the 80's was 1215. In the left wall on the steep entry way up to the castle there was a very narrow tunnel opening out to chambers & further tunnels that apparently lead to the priory ✨ I never personally got into even the nearest chamber: was far too scared, as it was very narrow & pitch black. These have been sealed off for years. There were rumours of people having been lost in these tunnels after batteries failing on torches 💔
@@Barry-or6bi Within the high wall on the left of the steep road leading up to the little church, then castle - the arch of the doorway may still be visible; though it's been a few years since I last looked😉
What an interesting Castle! Cool story about the archaelogical research on the skeletons Found. Thanks for taking us along 😁
