Yo man. I got a bit drunk for two days, but I'm ready for the review. First of all, your cleans sound like some Diablo OST, damn you should make more shit like this. Your tone is so fucking on point DAMN it's so good, you push your equipment to the extreme. Distorted parts are sooooooooooo good, your grooves are mint my man. The only thing I'd change - dude, go more extreme, I know you're capable of it. You already proved that on Untitled, I need you to go all in. You have so much potential and you keep teasing us instead of giving us the sickest riffs, I know you're capable of. I can't say that I don't like it because I know it will come in the future. You're great at building tension, every song is a cliffhanger, we just need some kind of drop, release. Mario, I'm your greatest fan and I always buy your stuff whenever I have money for it, you make amazing music and I need more.
It's weird I can't see your reply anywhere but on my mobile, just wanted to thank you for your kind words and support, I was actually reading over your latest comments while writing and recording because it really reminded me of the stuff I myself want to hear in this project, but kind of keep avoiding for the sake of chugging like a madman :D (or paying too much attention to rythm and not to melody) and then just wiping all the "missing parts" under the carpet. Untitled is a bitch to beat! haha, but I try to push for new things, building these projects from scratch and not reusing anything from the previous EP I felt REALLY comfortable with the tools I was using, but fiddling with new stuff is just unavoidable B), I also find it hard not going over the edge and fitting everything perfectly in it's place when it's supposed to be agressive and raw (or when I think it should be) but that definitely doesn't mean "melody-less music"... or music that doesn't ever resolve or "move" and leaves you hanging... and I'm definitely not after emotion-less music, I think your feedback and perspectives are very spot on and objective (in this subjective mess that music is), I will be definitely working on that! thank you so much again lml
Haha, I know that chugging temptation, I myself play 8 string fretless and I have to control myself to use more things than using that open 2 strings or making soundmasses with reverb. It's actually super hard to compose on 8 string because you have to fight your habits, but it is definitely worth it after.
It is insanity, truly. It unlocks so many intervals you wouldn't even believe that they exist. I decided to buy an 8 string and convert it (because believe it or not, it's cheaper than buying an actual fretless guitar), after learning about microtonal music - check out Last Sacrament, the one and only microtonal dm band. Microtonal intervals produce such tension and emotion that you can easily make somebody feel hounded to death, they're creepy as hell. Also when Tom Geldschläger joined Obscura for Akroasis, I was like "oh man, this sounds amazing" and decided to put some work into it. It's hard at the beggining and you need a very good grip on the thinnest strings otherwise it will sound like a dying mosquito. When I finally get all the equipment and start recording, I'm gonna make sure to message you and show you what this baby can do.

In that game, a bunch of mist has covered a continent and people figure out how to sail airships on the mist, hehe, Mist Sailing. Then another song you have is called Potion, there are lots of potions in the game, and then Regen is a popular spell, heh. I figured those 3 things were too much of a coincidence, lol. Also, the composer of that game, Nobuo Uematsu, has a metal band call the Black Mages and they cover a bunch of Final Fantasy songs, and that's kinda neat. You make amazing music, man, Final Fantasy related or not, haha. Keep it up!

btw, the name for this song came to my mind a couple weeks ago, some heavy mist landed on my city for like a week, I was standing on a corner and you could see the mist moving slowly across the street when it was sort of... "landing"... and I had an open field on my right, and some of this huge cloud looked like a giant mist sailing :D I liked the ambiguity of it , also :)
