- Donkey Kong is back with part two of his Dr Robotnik chat from the award-winning podcast, The Donkey Kong Experience. You know the one... it's your favouriteist podcast of all time. That one. Well, in today's episode DK tells the arch nemesis of Sonic the Hedgehog about the trouble the ape has faced in his battles with the red half of the Super Mario Bros!

The weird thing is, Eggman was originally meant to be the hero, but he's embraced being a villain. Even when given the chance to do good, he simply prefers evil. Whether innocuously like in Sonic Boom, or drastically, like in the comics, Eggman is just plain bad.
Also Eggman was model after the coolest US president Theodore Roosevelt was more ironic since Theodore is an anti-thesis of Eggman.
The soup is cold and the salad is hot, How’s that even possible!?

Wait didn't DK try to kill Mario with a mech? Like the kind of mech Eggman would use.
In the comics, he roboticized many of Sonic's friends. He also unleashed the metal virus that almost wiped out the entire mobian race.
Also Eggman pissed on the moon and years after he pissed on the earth.

In DK's case, he's a hero because nowadays, he punches second.
Technically depending on who you ask, DK did nothing wrong because he is the junior to DK senior who was the one that kidnapped Pauline.

Technically, Mario had beef with _Cranky_ first with the barrels, then his son/grandson/great-great-grandson/whatever Nintendo says these days...
Mario did respond by kidnapping Cranky and forcing DK Jr to rescue him while simultaneously trying to kill him... so maybe Mario wasn't totally innocent in all this either
Also wasn't Mario a carpenter in that game, not a plumber?
I heard an interesting theory about that. Because gorillas have a lifespan of about 40 years, it's a one generation difference (father/son) between Jumpman and Mario, and a two generation difference (grandfather/grandson) between Cranky and Donkey. So there's probably a retired carpenter in New Donk City.
The current DK has fought Mario the least and when it does happen it's because a store ran out of a toy he wanted or he broke into a store and stole them.
According to the arcade manuals he was actually Mario's escaped pet, so realistically Mario was the bad guy in Donkey Kong and Jr.
Bowser should definitely have a Broadcast of his own

Neither Robotnik surviving three oversized critters at the end of "Honey I shrunk the Hedehog".
Or any other Mashed cartoon in that regard, so I'd simply get with the ride of the week.

Eggman: I don't really see my actions as "evil".
Bowser: Look I have a list right here of the things you've done and believe me it's a long list, but I'm not going to judge you for it. Because you got to own it as I have that we're evil. I tried conquering the universe. You enslave an alien race to power a mind control device. You've worked with sonic, I've worked with mario before. If it meant overcoming the greater evil, but I also worked with other villains.

I'm really loving these Donkey Kong and Doctor Robotic interactions.
This has no reason being this genuinely good. Feels like a legit Rogan podcast with video game characters.
Also I love the little touch of Donkey Kong wearing headphones but not actually using them

This premise is so good, but it's going to take some hard work to top he image of Robotnik casually releasing the tiny robotic bee.
Good Job on Mash for understanding Eggman (Robotinik) as a character far more than SEGA did in the last couple of years.

These podcast style videos are a breath of fresh air, like a calm before the storm, would love to see a compilation of these for other characters once in awhile. Also EmoCrush sounds hilarious, take my messages, print them, then send a Helicopter to drop them in an active volcano, comedy gold.
The funniest part about Robotniks logic is the fact there's an AU version of him that actually DOES give animals power armor for their protection.

I bet Donkey Kong Experience might have random guest stars while Dr. Eggman is either absent, sick, having a day off, or going on a vacation. And I, of course, know exactly the best of the bunch. Ahem......
1.) Grimmsnarl from Pokemon - Since DK need to know how a huge goblin defeated a Machamp in one blow.
2.) Brachydios from Monster Hunter - Cause there's a reference to Punch Out! somewhere.
3.) Disfigurine from Dragon Quest - In case of a Halloween emergency.
4.) Eve from Stellar Blade - To ensure they're some explaination about her battle against the Naytibas.
5.) Tinkaton from Pokemon - To make sure she needs to calmed down when that pink dwarf is near at ally Corviknights.
6.) Pukei-Pukei from Monster Hunter - Since it's a jungle combo.
7.) Siren from Witcher - Her voice can compete with Pauline.
8.) Gobfin from Palworld - In case of a Shark Week emergency.
9.) Bastemon from Digimon - Because hairy friends do stick together.
And last, but certainly not least......... Rajang from Monster Hunter - For obvious reasons.
Yeah chimps are screwed, we know Donkey Kong is not the worst in his island because he is not a chimp.

To be fair, it would be much harder for eggman to do the whole "go good" thing because DK was allowed to step down as antagonist because we got THE antagonist in the form of Bowser. But Eggman is still THE antagonist of the Sonic universe so the dynamic wouldn't work because... well who would be the next primary antagonist?

As for the moon part, remember that at the end of Donkey Kong Country RETURNS, he f@ckin punched the moon to shoot it at the face of the final Boss.
