Making videos in the style you did with the bike pump is very successful. Most of my videos are very simple. I introduce the product and talk about how it was a solution or how it helped me. I do not do much "unboxing" I will show everything that was included but my experience has been through analyzing views and watch duration that dragging on with a full unboxing performs worse than my other videos, in my opinion, it is unnecessary and wastes the viewer's time. I think the viewers would rather see the product in action. One of my best performing videos was made sitting in my truck talking about the product and showing it. Great video! Thank you!
I uploaded my first 5 videos today. Most were around 30-50 seconds. Got all approved within an hour. I shot them on a GoPro 8 and a iPhone 13 so you don't need the latest camera. In some of my videos I had kids talking in the background. I had some videos shaking. I am impressed. Let's see how this goes.
Great tips for newbies like me! What I like is authenticity and displaying the product. I barely notice the ums and ahs that other people make when I'm watching. Thanks for putting this out!
great video examples.. it's definitely a lot harder to make videos than it looks. I have a hard time remembering what to say.. use a script but stumble around. I figure after about 100 videos I'll probably get better.
Dude I'm a new subscriber. Your sense of humor (I got a good chuckle when you played the meditation music and had the pop up captions), the value you provide in your content, all of it is just awesome. I feel like I'm learning a lot as I'm binging your content! I just got approved for onsite commissions so I'm excited! 🎉
I love getting comments like this! Thanks for watching and good luck on your journey if you have any questions let me know I'll do my best to help! -Adam
Appreciate your videos and helpful tips! Wondering if anybody knows whether scene cute are allowed or they want one continual recording. I mean like a closeup with a voice over, and then back to me.
Exactly what I needed, thank you! when doing the 3 videos for the initial approval for onsite commissions. Do you do one and upload and then do the other etc and once you have 3 up they will review. Or should you wait until you have all 3 ready to upload?
I did both ways, it doesn't matter. They "3" will not be sent for review until they are all there and finalized... You can upload them one by one as you film them, or at the same time. You have to fill in the titles, tag products, and a few details.
Hi Adam, great series of videos! Do you upload videos to US and UK Amazon sites? If so, how do they compare! I assume US market is much bigger than UK so is it still worth uploading to the UK market or both or even more markets! Would love to hear your opinions (if you have time) of the different markets if you use more than one!
Thanks for watching! I am only approved for the USA market, so not sure about the UK market...But, I would think US market is where the majority of potential is.
@@sidehustlessimplified Totally fair point! I will admit, I feel like my first few videos were short on actual details. More showing product, listing features. I need to shift into giving my opinions.
I cannot get my first 3 videos approved for the onsite expansion (they are published only on the storefront). I read the guidelines many times, watched your videos whicih are great. 1st time I shot with a decent phone, clean background indoors, brief simple video. Rejected for QUALITY. 2nd time I shot with a high-end DSLR, good light, good external mic, 3 new products. AGAIN rejected for "Quality" but have no other info. Not sure what to do. The only thing I noticed is that the first few moments of all my videos are blurry until it loads on the site, but on the PC it is sharp from the start. Any thoughts? Amazon Associates gave me the video-influencer email to contact but they do not reply after many days. Appreciate your insights. Unfortunately, I am unable to share links here it is removed.
Hmm, that is very frustrating! If your videos are blurry, that could cause a rejection. I would experiment with a different camera or determine why the blurriness is happening...maybe run it through an editor program and cut out that blurry part at the beginning. Aside from that, I'm not really sure without seeing your videos. But I totally get it...Amazon can be very vague and unclear, and it's hard to know what to 'fix'.
@@sidehustlessimplified The blurry low res portion only shows up on the storefront link, the original is nice and sharp. Looks like an Amazon issue as my PC and internet are very good. Did anyone else notice that? Blurry for first few seconds and then gets sharp. Not sure if I can share my store name here to see what I mean?

Yes, scene cuts and editing are allowed, I've done it and seen multiple videos with this.
Learned a lot! Thank you!
You are welcome!

I filmed all 3, and then uploaded all 3 at the same time...and then just waited.

What about download from youtube and upload?
Quick question, do you find the longer-length videos perform better than short under 1 minute videos?
I think they should be short as possible, while still giving value; short and simple but packed with relevant info.

Hi, I have a quick question? Can I upload a review video for any products or products those have at least one video?
You can upload a video to any active ASIN (product) on Amazon as far as I know...it does not need to have atleast one video.
@@sidehustlessimplified Thanks I appreciate your fast reply.
no problem!@@tishonkrish

Do you make thumbnails for these videos?
Not for all videos, maybe about 25% of the better videos and higher priced items i make thumbnails for.
