Remarkable performance. interesting to me is that all commenters give credit to Tessa Lark (deservedly so) but no one acknowledges Edgar Meyer and I can't say enough about his abilities or contributions to the music world.
Well, he only WROTE the damn thing...
That would be a bass-less assessment...
My son and I saw Tessa play the other night in New Canaan. Phenomenal musicianship. Lovely woman. Thoroughly thrilled, delighted and amazed at her performance.
She’s incredible and yes, Edgar Meyer is awesome! He is so precise!
Wow~ If not classical Jazz, then Jazzy Classical music. Never heard before. Amazing~!!!
I've replayed this numerous times. Doesnt get old. Cant wait to hear the rest of them!
Tessa is out of this world. True and original.
there's always something new to discover in this piece. the way the motifs get dismantled and reconstructed is so good.
What I admire most here is the distinctly interior American vocabulary. Delightful.
My favorite violinist now
The musicianship here is nothing short of amazing!
Greath thsnks for your special emotionns bring to me with your interpretation

This was great! Nicely written and very well played.
Well done! Add Banjo artist Bela Fleck to the mix and Wow!

Edgar Meyer is an extraordinary composer - a master of motivic development and possessing his own highly authentic compositional voice. Not bad on the bass either!
Mind blowing performance! Spectacular!

Hello Tessa, So amazing!
Where and how can I get the notes?
Best regards from Germany.
Does anyone have any idea why Edgar had those two clamps on his extension/scroll?
The clamps prevent his extension from buzzing/rattling!
yea....make it LOOK easy. i take consolation that Im a fiddling nerd and i composed a piece for didgeridoo and fiddle.
