It was 2006 and I was 16 listening to this and now I'm 33 and I still come back to listen to this now and then🖤🥀
There is NO SALVATION.....Spartans stand alone
Me too. Literally. Exact.
Guess who’s on tour?!?!?
the same here@@btbraden08
You said you were 16 in2006 and I was like you’re old as hell, then I realized that i was 16 in 2006 to 😩😩😂
Pretty sure everyone on here is grown now and just looking back on memories
u damn right bro
Staubschutzmasken yea it's crazy I was 8 years old listening to this I'm in to total different things I listen to trap but it's cool to be a rockstar now Adays so escape the fate will always be the rockstar side of me
I feel the same, i used to listen to this band when i was 15 years old now im 24 but sometimes i listen to them because i really love old days.. incredible how fast time flies.
Staubschutzmasken couldn't say it any better fam I feel you its so crazy it's amazing how time is
+Staubschutzmasken ikr
just imagine teens finding this music for the first time? I bet they wish more than anything they could have been there. Emo was fucking sad and great at the same time.
Something we have over the newer generations. Miss the old days so much but I wouldn't change anything.
I wish I could imagine a time where all this emo stuff was happening and I wasn’t 6 years old.
I was there. It was better than you could imagine and I could describe.
Seeing a comment from an account named alesana with frank Palmeri as the profile picture on an escape the fate video literally rolls my high school years a decade ago into a ball of nostalgia
I was a metal head but got introduced to this band by my emo mate in high school. Fucking loved it ever since
Quarantine 2020: that final breakdown still slaps.
This whole album slaps. Will never age in my opinion. Nothing better
@@DagzTheClown Things only age if you want them too. Good music is good music, right? XD

Here I am... 28 yr old.... And I remember being young, having this on my ipod with my ear phones.

Right?
I am 20. All of my friends are 28. It is still not a phase. Goth women still get me. I was born 8 years too late.

I miss this ronnie 😢
This song is one of my all time favorites. Dude is so talented.
💜
You know about Falling In Reverse right?
@@redhood720noscope8 yes but they aren’t nearly as heavy. Ronnie just barely utilizes his skills when it it comes to screams. If you watch his live shows you can see how talented he is when it comes to the lows. I’m not some metal elitists but I do appreciate a good balance.
Dude it's been downhill since Jacky left... Ronnie's a super talented guy but Jacky added some gold they just haven't been able to replace.
@@redhood720noscope8 they're not nearly as good as this era of ETF. They sound like every other genetic metalcore band that's on Sirius Octane.
haha the myspace days of post-hardcore and metalcore. this album screams nostalgia
Still listen to this shit when I train. Metalcore for fucking life.
Bro, I looked for this song for hours, could NOT remember it. Hearing it again after fucking 12 years is sooooooo nostalgic
Welcome back😌
this song was made in 2014 tho how was that 12 years

Same. I just found this gem like a year ago after not hearing it in 10 yrs. Amazing
I finally nailed that solo for the first time today, I feel like a GOD

@theCruiser
I challenge you to a fight on halo
You can’t just say that and then not link it.
Like everyone else, they said it was a phase. I must've been at least 14 listening to their music and im 24 now... doesn't change and I love it.
Dude, same here
Me too 🤘

I was the only emo at my high-school, actually, i was the only emo in whole saudi Arabia lol

Here I am almost 30yr olds and remember going to their concert when I was 18 and wracking the mosh pit! Good ol days forsure! Always will live inside us!
I was 19 in the emo phase i'm now 35 this still breathes life into every part of my body.
In case anyone was wondering, This song is Actually about the game Halo, Ronnie confirmed it years ago.
Doesn't make sense at all, lyrics don't add up to the invasion of the covenant. But if he said it I guess whatever.
I cant find anything about him saying that... Can I have a link? Or tell me what to search.
+Mike Sloan The first two Guillotine's were based on Halo, Ronnie and Craig said that before but i can't remember in which interviews.
+Junior Stone Okay thanks.
+HostShots Well, if you just look at the lyrics, you can clearly see it's about Halo. "We've spawned to fight in the darkest hour" "We won't back down, the weak won't survive" "We've reached the covenant" "Spartans stand alone"
I REALLY love the low scream at the very end! It is AWESOME!!!
it sounds ridiculously low lmfao
My fav part of the entire song
wow I sure miss these guys hahah good memories from middle 7th grade :)
+Ventus Tarango sameeee ahaha
I'm in 7th grade right now and I have known escape the fate for two years now.
Ventus Tarango same except I'm in 7th grade
This album has never left my side even after all these years. 🖤💀
Deadass. Only the real ones know 💪🏾
This Album Literally Helped During A Difficult Time. I Used To Not Like Emo Bands, But Once I Heard DIYLF Holy Fuckin Shit I Was Mind Blowed. I've Heard Some ETF Songs When I Was Younger, But I Never Fully Got Into Them. But Damn, This Album Will Always Be A Huge Part Of Me.
I always thought this was one of the hardest breakdowns I’ve ever heard in ANY genre of music. The whole song leads up to this absolutely beautiful breakdown with great screams and it sounds completely different from the song
Like hands off this is the best Guillotine in the series
+BoomDoomCake ! should of been the only Guillotine in the series.
steven aldridge True, but you can try and tell them not to make any wannabe guillotine songs, not gonna work tho
+steven aldridge I disagree, all three are great.
+Jared Quirk Four. Ronnie made Guillotine IV on Falling In Reverse. He also made My Apocalipse II.
Skyrunner Studios shut up
old escape the fate was were it was at

seriosly im like the only kid that listens to good music in my whole school
Ronnie is an asshole but he was a good songwriter
Their best album
skrvmz he’s actually changed a lot since then
I would give anything to be able to see them in concert during this era. I was nine when this album came out, I’m 25 now and it never gets old ❤️ Forever my favorite Album
I remember this was one of my fave songs back like 11-12 years ago.. i was on msn with my buddy yannick who passed away this year:(, we would be on the webcam with 2 girls and i would blast this song and we would laugh so hard😂😂 goof old times man memorys stay forever love you Yannick my Dawg 😘 ly4l
Thats a good name
anyone here after Monte casually played the pre-chorus breakdown/riff from Nik Nocturnal's channel :x
you read my mind

Emo music will always be in my veins. Started when i was 13 and now im 29. Never was a phase this is where my heart stays

Man, so many memories.
My family vacation to New Zealand, driving through the forests there listening to this thinking that I was deep down a werewolf because me and my friend group (and everyone my age) was obsessed with Twilight, despite how bad it was.
The last part has me weak omf💀💀
Reminds me of the time whenever I told my parents I was a vampire then dead ass said I liked the taste of blood

So lock and load mercenaries
I see the smoke from the hilltop
They march one by one
The battled starts, adversaries
We bathe in our blood
The worst is yet to come
We've reached the covenant
To kill what we have started
Kill the machines
We've spawned to fight in the darkest hour
They really need to know
We really gotta go
(We fight to live, we fight for pride) they really need to know
(We won't back down the weak won't survive) we really gotta go
We stay here tonight (don't let them find us or we're dead)
Promise me you won't leave my side (the warmest place to lie my head)
And when the sun comes up we fight (don't let them find us or we're dead)
So promise me you won't leave my side
Trace the blood back to the grave
The smoke has cleared
Thousands are destroyed
They send signals no salvation
We fight in lock out
Scope is ready to go
Armed with explosives
Spartans stand alone

this song is sooooo amazing, I just love the ending so much.
I remember working at Meyers Park Country Club as a Sophomore in high school and listening to this song for the first time in the ball picker. At that point in my life the only thing I had on my mind was becoming a Marine. Hard to believe that was 16 years ago. The choices we make lead to outcomes we’d never dream of. Got back with my old days band after years. NEVER GIVE UP
A blast from the past, the last part was the highlight of the song -- those lows man...alongside with that amazing riff is just sick! lml
