Introducing EMC's New Principal, Ms. Tucker Okah-Avae! (SY24)

Ms. Desiree Tucker Okah-Avae, who has been an Assistant Principal at Edgewood Middle Campus (EMC) since 2022, will become principal starting SY2024-25.
Ms. Tucker joined DC Prep in 2022. She brought with her a deep expertise of teacher coaching to her work, helping teachers deliver strong learning experiences for students. Ms. Tucker has a high bar for excellence and is relentless in her pursuit of what is possible for students. Her willingness to do the work alongside colleagues has helped her to build strong relationships.
