About Safety in London- everyone keep in mind that London is VERY multicultural so there are people from other ethnicities who've come and settled and they come with their own beef with others. MOST of the gang violence is within the black community amongst themselves. That being said they are all good people, but there's always panga/violence in all ethnicities/communities. You'd also find some violent crimes in desi areas of London too or even Delhi. It's not like you be super careful after stepping out of the airport in Delhi. You live your life and shit happens everywhere.
Thank you for detailed info...it really helped me finding a good place for my family...need to check few more things..I have recently moved to London so it will be great to connect...
Hey Thanks for the video! How about Stratford and Ealing for a young couple coming to London? I know they are in different directions but how are they on safety, rent and indian groceries?
Stratford has a big Westfield mall which has made it hotspot for crime lots of violent cases and shoplifting offences . So you may have to look that up. ealing is better rents are lower 1000-1100 average 1br . Less apartment more houses. 40-50 mins commute. Indian grocery is available
You wanna live close to Ealing (closer to apne people i.e. Southall/ Hounslow (punjabi food) and Wembley / Harrow (gujarati food) as the Desi couple said you won't have peace of mind living in Stratford. I highly recommend going to Google maps street view and check out the areas as Ealing is mostly residential, although well connected to central.

Hi, great topic! I’m looking at Elephant and Castle, Pekham in the South or area around Bethnal Green. Any suggestions? We’re married couple with office near covent garden looking for a multi cultural area. Please help :)
Although Peckham is an upcoming area it's one of the least safe places in London due to its gang culture. As an architect I believe it is also houses look the shittiest in there. Elephant and Castle - never heard a young couple wanting to live there, but it's probably a safer location. Bethnal is probably a good shout
Check out Brixton, although has a history of crime, it is being revamped especially due to gentrification. But it's like living in central Delhi, it's unsafe but still liveable. Dont mess with people, they won't mess with you.

Your videos are very informative. My family and I will be moving to London next month. If you could suggest me some family-friendly boroughs, that's close to Camden area that would be great.
@@DesiCoupleinLondonwell it is very obvious, isn’t it? There is a lot of knife crime amongst ethnic minority kids, but mainly black kids at the moment. My friend’s nephew who was half black and half Asian, was knifed a few years ago, killed at the age of around 18, in the borough of Hounslow itself. Even outer Hounslow borough such as Feltham, isn’t safe. I have had Indian friends who whilst they lived in Hounslow East become slowly disillusioned with life there. Also drugs is a huge problem in this borough-my neighbours in my first house share were constantly high, causing utmost commotion which caused the police to be in once. Another landlady in Hounslow, a lady from Punjab, had tried taking me court, after her daughter and other tenants had threatened me, because I have a disability. As a former carer, I worked very closely with the Punjabi community in Hounslow and you see a lot of illness and issues, related to the circumstances in which they came over here many years ago. You were right about East London not being too safe. I don’t think that Wembley is that safe either. You have similar issues in many boroughs. I was born in Kent, the south eastern most county at a time when it was rare to see Indians or non whites. Discrimination still runs very deep throughout the UK, especially London. You can get into a lot of trouble with the law if you are passionate about protecting your patients, like I was. Work is like this only, unfortunately. I wish both of you and everyone else who comes over the best of luck. You will need it once you see the grim reality of life here!
@@monicanath4859 oh that's terrifying!! Can u plz tell me which cities are safe in uk to live? As I will be coming as an international student in jan 23. Also which nearby places are safe in london city?
@@pratiksharajendratrivedi982there are not that many cities which are devoid of crime. Economic deprivation throughout the UK leads to these issues unfortunately. I think there are places like the South West such as Cornwall and Devon, which could work to a certain extent as these are beautiful counties. There is Bournemouth too where the people are lovely as well as Brighton. Eastbourne and Hastings is no longer that safe. Up north, the county of Yorkshire is very pleasant indeed, especially Sheffield. There are two fantastic universities in Sheffield. My personal favourite though is the County of Tyne and Wear, where I have family. Unfortunately, London is the strongest economically, and you have some wonderful neighbourhoods here like Ealing, Chiswick, Richmond, Barnet and the County of Surrey, here. You just need to be aware of the violence that can exist in adjacent neighbourhoods to these areas. Crime can happen anywhere to be fair. One elderly man was stabbed in broad daylight the other day some 45 mins away from my home. You must have heard about the stabbing of this man in a peaceful neighbourhood in Greenford, West London. I hope this helps.

I didn't get "more London area"? part but for 3 year kida you need to look for areas with schools.
Wembley, Bromley,Bexley could be your choice but could also go Hounslow as well
Kindly try to share the price as well along with rent.
Hi All,
I am planning to move to London early next year. Could someone suggest which is the best community with good schools from below:
1. Illford / Barking / East Ham
2. Wembley
3. Croydon / Bromley
4. Greenwich/ Royal Docs
5. Any other
My office is situated in Central London at Edward Street. Not looking for a locality which is too far away. Nor too expensive to stay.
Please suggest
try bexleyheath 40 min from central london and good schools.
Royal docks greenwich is nice but schools are scarce.
Avoid croydon illford east ham barking
@@DesiCoupleinLondon Much appreciated. Also, since I will be joining mid term it is likely that my 11 year old son would be admitted to year 5. Could I change the locality next year to move him to secondary school. Could you pls suggest if Wembley would be a good option.

Hey, nice info. 👍🏻. I'll be moving to London in another couple of months and my office would be in Canada Square. I would be keen to find a place around Canary Wharf, Royal Docks, type areas. Hi can you suggest some places if I have to travel to Brighton for office what is the best place to live in London. I am married with no kids
London to Brighton would be a long commute daily. Why you want to do that.
@@DesiCoupleinLondon Because my wife would be working in london
peckham could be one option that you can look its zone 2. Less travel for your wife but London bridge is near by so easy commute for u as direct trains.
@@DesiCoupleinLondon thanks do you have any idea about Croydon ?
@@kunalprajapati1933 Very poor choice of location as Croydon is the most dangerous place in London. Brighton is a LOVELY city to live in, if you can manage both of you should live there instead of London. Look at Crawley instead, lot of young professionals who want to live outside of london but want to stay connected to the sea. It is VERY well connected and it's got high speed trains running to both cities and other Southern cities like Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Southampton etc.

Hi, great topic! I’m looking at Elephant and Castle, Pekham in the South or area around Bethnal Green. Any suggestions? We’re married couple with office near covent garden looking for a multi cultural area. Please help :)
Peckham It's a decent area with multi culture and good connectivity to Covent garden.

Hi Guys,
My wife and I are relocating to London and your videos have been of immense help. Can't thank you enough.
Wanted to check what would be a good place to rent with 30mins travel to central London, budget being 1600-1800 for 1 bedroom apartment or we are being too optimistic :-) ? Also, is it needed to carry thick blankets when relocating or are the places generally fitted with heaters and normal comforters would do?
canary wharf or royal docks are beautiful and within your budget and 20 min to central london. Dont bring blankets.
Duvets(comforters) are enough .

Your videos are very informative. My family and I will be moving to London next month. If you could suggest me some family-friendly boroughs, that's close to Camden area that would be great.
It will be dependent on your budget as well. The area near Camden is expensive as its central London. so you need to look a bit outside.
Hi,
Is Stratford safe area to live?
May get a bit rough in the night
@@DesiCoupleinLondon ok Thanks
My goodness you recommended some rather unsafe areas! Is there any reason why you left out safer more upmarket areas, like Richmond and Ealing?
Would be great if you can shed light on unsafe areas.
Thank you so much for your advice!! I will surely take care of that.

As per few sites.
Kingston University is based in Kingston upon Thames, a vibrant area on the River Thames in south-west London, only 30 minutes away from central London. Kingston is consistently rated one of the safest London boroughs (Metropolitan Police) as well as the second happiest place to live in London (Rightmove).
