Roman is easily one of my favorite guitarists. Dude is such a beast. I love listening to his guitar work. He's the most underrated member of Jinjer and probably just in the metal genre in general.
Even to this day, I've had a hard time finding other guitarists that hit originality/technicality/tastefulness as well as he does. I place him and Tosin Abasi in that realm. Not equating the two, but they both hit all boxes for me, which is rare.
His right hand technique is a joy to watch, such an interesting blend of approaches. Stylistically mature and totally integrated, Mark Morton for the next generation.
@@Jorge_Nadal - It's not really that simple. To play like this on a 7-string you have to deal with an extra high string that might get in the way of your playing and also you need to adapt to a wider neck, which in most cases might involve adapting your style to deal with the two things I've just mentioned. As far as I can tell, Roman doesn't need that that "extra" string for the work he does and if he is more comfortable playing a 6-string, why shouldn't he? That's why we have these multi-scale beauties. ; )
mostly penis extension. you do have some players like Abassi who use all 8, but 90 percent of bands just use it as "look how big my guitar dick, bruh" Honestly one of my heaviest guitars is a baritone 4-string. 30" scale, 4 friggin strings. rarely do i ever run out and think "fuck, if only i had more high strings for that super low-ass riff i just wrote and cannot play"
@@Module79L yeah, totally agree. I have a 7 string guitar after selling a 6 string guitar. And I think my next guitar will be a 6 string one with some THICC strings and that's it. If I will need some djent in my life I will get another 8 string guitar and will use it instead. 6 string is just more comfortable. Not much of a difference between 7 string, but definitely noticeable.
I don't play any musical instruments unless you count my brutally average playing of the recorder in grade 7. But I have watched enough guitar players to recognize that Roman is right up there with the top guitarists. Most people commenting on Jinjer songs either single out Eugene and Vlad as the most impressive on instruments or at least praise all 3 of them. I wonder if some with untrained ears sometimes think it is the bass playing when Roman is riffing on his guitar or together because the bass sounds quite different almost like a lead guitar more than the usual 4 string bass guitars. Also Roman's strings look looser than a lot of other players guitars. Seems to work nicely to get some different sounds out of it and certainly doesn't slow him down. Can someone tell me what are the advantages of looser strings or disadvantages? I love Jinjer's amazing sounds, style, and that "devil woman." LOL I almost always have to include a joke. :)

Hey @OD Guitars ...can you tell me what gauge strings Roman uses for that tuning? Also, do you have to adjust the truss rod to handle the down-tuning?
Gauge is 0.14-0.68 Trussrod adjustment: barely..but that depends on the guitar of course. The neck on an OD is built in such a way that it's strong enough to withstand the tension of the strings and still flexible enough to vibrate well

The whole band is just naturally gifted like that, they're unreal.

One single Word, originality

Dude, that set of riffs at 3:45!!!! Badass...!
This exactly! I stop whatever I might be doing at that part of the song because it deserves my full undivided attention. 🤘
Seriously. As much as I get that this band is an equal foursome, Roman really is the core of Jinjer.
Roman killin' it!
I literally consumed the timeline on 4:12, by clicking it countless times. That synergy between guitar, bass and drums is so fucking amazing!
I started from 3:45 until the end multiple times. Mastery !
2:14
Brilliant.....my fav guitarist (the whole band actually) lately.....them riffs so tasty!
The metal still breathe!
Riff monstruoso!!!
zim
This is insane! The sound and his playing is madness! Drop A!
Roman + guitar in his hand = me clicking.
Instrumental version is sick!
Roman is an absolute riff machine!! Jinjer is the best! I can’t get enough. They ruined other music for me!
nice guitar player, love this band
I am saddened that at least 9 people have no respect for this level of talent.
Это гитаристы , которые завидуют Роману )))
Metal use to be natural until this, this mad man just lay down the new level of metal
3:45 voice and sound are top 2 my fav sounds on this planet.
imagine if he played with Eugine, Vlad, and Tati... they'd be unstoppable!!
It’s so fun watching him play! And this Guitar oh gosh!
Took me around 2 hours to learn this song, such a masterpiece when it comes to guitar riffage, fun to play
Those open upstrokes!
i was able to almost learn the whole song by playing this in slow motion! Top notch camera work!
Tatiana opaca a la monstruosidad de banda que hay atrás. Está banda hace TODO bien.
Wow. So many layers. All amazing!
Maaaan ... I would go bowling with this guy
Badass riff using badass guitar! 🔥
what a tone...
Riff bestiale!!
You should have Roman come back and play some of the new stuff on his baritone when they're on a tour break. Thanks in advance.
Flawless victory^^
Mortal Kombat 🤘
God of guitar
Awesome, that guitar sounds fucking great bro!
What a boss
Amazing!!
During all of this, all you see on his face is a young David Gilmour as he relaxes working on a crossword puzzle.
Как же класно!Посмотрел с удовольствием!
That outro riff...
Would love to learn how to play this
So would I, but that would take a big assed miracle. hehe
damn those triplets
Ромка молодец.
Una bestia Roman! De los mejores violeros que he visto...saludos de Argentina 👏👏🤘🤘
Я люблю тебя Роман 💖
Это зависть...
What do you need 7 or 8 strings for, when there's SO MUCH you can do with only 6? ; )
Module79L Tuning Drop-A, is the same 7 string.

That's right, a six strings guitar is perfect to play a Drop-A without any problem, it's just a matter of adaptation in my humble opinion!!!

They have unleashed the bloody flock
Fierce, black hounds are getting mad
I hear the beast behind my back
And stench comes from its maw
The baying of berserks with each right paw upraised
They're painted red in blood
The march of curs to trample their own truth
To chase all crows of white
No breath for those who dare to disagree
One path, one past, one trust
Loyal dogs, unfailing tool
They do what they have been trained to
With the eidolons the minds are full
The evil ghosts of old

Insanity turns back at last
As soon as their food is done
And dog will raven dog
The claws crush bones
The claws crush bones
Claws crush bones
Claws crush bones
Claws crush bones
Claws crush bones
The one who disobeys
He learns a cruel lesson of bones and stones
Your dissidence objected
And it's a basic skill to earn
Sit, stay, roll over
Sit, stay, roll over
Sit, stay, roll over
Sit, stay
The march of curs to trample their own truth
To chase all crows of white
No breath for those who dare to disagree
