You could probably look down with the camera and possibly spot fish and Drop it right on them.
Definitely! Was atleast going to drop on a busting bait balls if I can find one not being hammered by pelicans

I have a close up of the shape I bent it into in the community tab. It is called a push rod you may be able to grab one at your local hobby store they will come in 3 foot lengths.

I like the set up. Why not when you want to drop just stop the drone back up and then turn around after the drop and’ come home. Thanks. I have a couple old drones a yuneec breeze and a phoenix VTI I am willing to sacrifice. Going to try Catfishing the snake river in Idaho this summer. My mini 2 can watch from the car.
Yeah that might be more safe, less tension on the drone during the turnaround

Hey what's up, Thanks for checking out my video. so far i have only been dropping fairly light weight lures. so i don't have any experience with that much weight yet. best thing to do is do so test runs over grass to figure out what it is capable of. I posted a picture of a closer look of the clip i made to hold the lure in my community section. If you have any more questions hit me up. Also please let me know how your tests go.

The max payload for the mini 2 is about 10 oz. It can still fly but it will fail to self hover with anythong more than 10 oz.
May i know what is the max weight the dji mini 2 can handle?
Iv only flew with small payloads thus far. The lure in this video is only around .5 oz
I plan to test out what it can carry soon and attempt to target fish with it just waiting for the rain to let up we have been getting loads of rain in California for a change.
I've been testing and found a max of 7Oz... but I wouldn't go too far out in the ocean. 5-6Oz seems to be the sweet spot for any kind of distance.@@SomethingFishy707
