      Good call Tryingitall. There are a few tough spots between Bonney Meadows and Camp Windy in the snow. Been there, done that. But it can be tough to get in there when there is snow, this area is restricted to vehicle 45" and less from around December 15th to April 1st.

      I am looking for some open areas like this to take my sxs in the snow and this looked good. I’ve seen a few of your videos from this area in the winter that looked fun

      Yeah, it's a good area, but you have to catch it before December 15th or after April 1st. I just keep an eye out on the Mt. Hood National Forest web site for road closures. There are usually a couple of areas that are left open. But be for warned, they are usually the hardest routes. NF-57, 5710, 63, 6310 and 6350 are usually left open to name a couple.

      Monster Jeep do these trails have names? Are they around this area?

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 років тому +1

      The trail that goes up along the ridge past Bonney Meadows Butte on the southeast side of Mt. Hood is called Bonney Meadows Rd. or NF-4891. Another good trail in that area is called Bennet Pass Rd. or NF-3550. But be careful, that road can be treacherous or not passable during certain times of year.

    Awesome place. Just wish it wasnt such a long drive from my area. On the plus side the road is better than the path or trail to Silverstar mtn.

      Hey consaka1...yeah, I need to get out and explore some new places, but the drive is always a killer.

      If you are ever up in the Vancouver area, heading to St Helens perhaps or something, you should try Silverstar mtn. It has some good views and the trail is not too long though some parts of it can be challenging if you drive some fwd little car.

    All that was missing was a nice bonfire, but maybe its too dry, like everywhere else out West!
    You'll be snow wheeling before too long...look forward to seeing some of that! Cheers

    The music started and I thought I was watching a Bex bug out survivor video. Then there was a lack of hammock content in the beginning.

    Did you air down your tires for the ride up?

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Ben...you know, I'm not sure in this case. I don't always air down in the summer because I'm lazy. But usually I like to take them down to 20 psi whenever I'm running around off pavement. 👍 Mainly just for the softer ride.
