Great video. BTW, that small white box is the remote receiver, I guess the seller did not give the Remote controller that comes with it. I have this 3000W 12V inverter (without remote version) running 24/7 since Sept 2020 and still working great, just have watch out for bad filter caps that tend to fail and you will see it has domed top.
It's actually a decent unit. Is yours the newer version or older version. The older one seems to be more efficient as far as when the fans come on. I want to do a comparison video of new vs. old.
@Aubrey J. Tennant I do just based on size, though, lol. Typically, newer means small, more efficient components.. other than that, I'm just guessing at this point..
Was that replacement 40a fuse from the spare fuse package? Take one of the spare Chinese fuses and actually run current through it using a calibrated resistive load. I found these cheap fuses have horrible tolerances. I've tested cheap fuses rated @ 5a that did not blow until 20a was passed through them for several minutes! Try the test again using a genuine BUSS or Little Fuse brand.
I have the same problem with 115 volts or 120 volts not showing in the display. As far as I can tell no bad capacitors. What if all the fuses are good? What to troubleshoot next?
Probably the power MOSFETS . There are lots of videos showing how to test them. Also, check if there is a repair kit for that unit. Oftentimes, they have repair kits with common parts that go bad.

Yea I figured that out later.
I just bought this model a week ago. I guess I got a deal @ $220. Very useful info!
🙏🏼 😊

I think it’s older. Black in color, not blue and no remote switch. I haven’t tried it yet.
@Aubrey J. Tennant I have both units. I'll have to open them up now and see. I think the newer one is the smaller black one with integrated heat sink.
Okay, so you think the black is the newer one? I look forward to you comparing the two!
Thanks

Wow, that is crazy. Yes, this was the supplied replacement from the manufacturer. I'll have to try that. Thanks for the info.

Great video! How much did you pay for that inverter? Did the listing mention that it wasn’t working?
$200. The listing said it was working..
Great score! Love your content. Thanks for sharing
@@Code_hack_ thanks
That means a lot :)
Hi I have the same inverter 1 trim Pot for voltage what is the other trim pot for mate?
I would have to look, but my guess is that it's the output frequency in HZ adjustment.
@@natesdiysolar cheers for that I turned it a bit but it didn't change the Hz so who knows hey would be nice to know though hey
@@Hoopsy78 bummer.. sorry about that...
