I liked Nasir better than all those 7 track albums they released. I feel like it was more like an EP that felt a little rushed. I think is just more Nas is put on a higher scale than the other artist. Still to me it was a pretty good project just not his best. I loved the Adam and Eve track the best. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of those songs we heard were made in a day…
This is totally not true. Nas is working with Kanye RIGHT NOW. Lol Please get your facts straight... Their collab album didn't do well commercially, but both Nas and Ye are professional creators. Please don't make assumptions, this is detrimental to the culture.
It sounds like people follow the narrative of the critics because first Nas picks bad beats that was bs now we gotta act like Nasir and Lost tapes wasn't better than most artists catalogs. Sarcastic ok because if Nas is wack there is no mercy for no one else grabbing a mic
I actually think that Nasir was a very good project, my only real complain is that it was too short, and the production was Kanye at his very finest. However, due to the controversies Kanye is currently embroiled in and Nas being known as a conscious rapper, it contradicts his image entirely - its not a good look for most rappers to do a song with a well known republican as their main message is about social justice. At this point, the only people I see working with Ye are Tekashi69 and possibly florida rapper Forgiato Blow (who?). Though I do have to say Nas fans are like Star Wars fans, the most fickle ever. The tiniest little mistake he makes they switch on him instantly (he nearly ended his career in 2015 with a Justin Bieber collaboration. That was obviously an attempt to appeal to a different audience but it backfired, but everyone makes mistakes). And those fans who claim they're die-hards, ask them to name any album besides Illmatic that they actually like? I'll wait lol! Well, truth is, they were never his fans then.
@@andreajackson08901God’s Son is classic and Life is Good too. Also Magic3 in my opinion is better then Magic 1. Nas got like 7 or 8 classics. Not sure if Lost Tapes 1 was considered. That’s easily a classic.

The fact that Nasir only took 7 days to make.. well PAC made makavelli in 7 days so I don’t think that’s where the problem was. I think he just knew he had to change things up. Honestly his latter run (in my opinion) has overshadowed anything done after stillmattic. He always had a problem with beat selection to me. And having hit boy there was the perfect solution. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of those songs we heard were made in a day…
This is totally not true. Nas is working with Kanye RIGHT NOW. Lol
Please get your facts straight...
Their collab album didn't do well commercially, but both Nas and Ye are professional creators.
Please don't make assumptions, this is detrimental to the culture.
Kanye's working a new album which I covered a few weeks ago but I have not heard anywhere Nas is involved. Hope what your saying turns out to be true
Jay made Ye push that date on purpose.
😂😂😂
I don't ever remember a time where Nas was NOT in the GOAT conversation. Ever.
It sounds like people follow the narrative of the critics because first Nas picks bad beats that was bs now we gotta act like Nasir and Lost tapes wasn't better than most artists catalogs. Sarcastic ok because if Nas is wack there is no mercy for no one else grabbing a mic
They should've posted Nasir in December. Kanye needed more time
Ppl said it wasn’t good, cuz that’s when Kanye went on tmz and said the slave is a choice.
and cos nas’ verses were weak af.
MORONS NO ONE WILL EVERY WORK WITHG KANYE HE IS DEAD... KANYE HAS BEEN KILLED AND REPLACED WITH A LOOK ALIKE / CLONE
I'd say Illmatic, It Was Written, Stillmatic, the 1st Lost Tapes, KD2 And Magic are all classics
Man this is so true. Underrated comment
@@andreajackson08901God’s Son is classic and Life is Good too. Also Magic3 in my opinion is better then Magic 1. Nas got like 7 or 8 classics.
Not sure if Lost Tapes 1 was considered. That’s easily a classic.
OTHER THAN ILLMATIC
It was written
Stillmatic
I Am
God's Son
The Lost Tapes
Nastradamus
KD1,2,3
Magic 1,2,3
Street's Disciple
N
Nasir
Life is good
Distant Relatives
#MAGIC3 is a Better ALBUM than #KD3 respectfully
I hope we see Kanye in the Nas+premo album, it would be truely, *classic*
;)
2pac made the album 7 Day Theory in just…7 days. Insane cuz that’s one of the best albums ever
Fact check: Hitboy made Royalty on Lost Tapes2
Who are the “people” that said Nasir and Lost Tapes 2 was a failure? What makes their opinion credible? Most people don’t know hip hop no matter how much they listen to it…..
Never heard The Narrative of nas Pen being the the reason for how nasir tuned out lol
Does everyone really dislike LT2? I understand Nasir. I agree the results were not good. But I like Lost Tapes 2. No, its not as good as the first one, but years later, i would expect a new compilation to be a different sound and content. Anyways what do you guys honestly think about LT2?
I honestly have no idea why people hate on Lost Tapes 2. I think it's very good
Magic 1 is my favourite in this run
Lost tapes 2 was not a bad album at all. I put LT2 over Nasir, Street Disciple, and the untitled album.
Untitled has many more good songs than Lost Tapes 2 imo. Plus it's not claiming to be the sequel to one of his best albums ever
4.44 is trash. This is proof that y’all don’t critique no one like you do Nas. To think that 4:44 is a good album shows you are in love with the idea of Jay and not that quality of Jay. 🚮
This whole video is CAP Nasir was a banger !!!
kanye isn’t kanye anymore from a production standpoint. Nasir wasn’t great production wise but lyrically it was on point. kanye was still mixing the album minutes before it was released. If you pay attention nobody is going crazy to work with kanye anymore. he’s to concerned with media & the kardashians instead of just making music
Exactly. Kanye fell off after Graduation
@@JEFFMAN90this is just incorrect and hating, he still went on to drop MBDTF and that’s just from a MC standpoint let alone producer standpoint
😂that a bloody lie cause he produced Daytona for Pusha T and Teyana Taylor ktse around the same period Nasir was the worst produced out of those sessions simple
Nas the best and been the best for 20 years
Rose tinted lenses all over this video. That summer run was terrible for Kanye, that was pretty much the end of GOOD MUSIC
Is it me or does nas never age? Another great vid bro, you’ve got to blame Kanyes ego for trying to produce this many top albums in a year, there ain’t a rapper in the world who can come up with a cohesive album in a WEEK!!! EPDM 2 is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
