Heading there this winter for my second time at the resort, I am surprised they allowed you too fish, did you have to ask anyone or did anyone hassle you?
instead of hurting the fish, i got a line and teased them with chicken bones. yank it up before they eat the meat and see them jump. they get bored after about 10 minutes and only the small fish try to bite. what kind of fish are the big ones?

I'm heading there in October, did you get permission? Don't want any Mexican troubles. Maybe they didn't want to mess with you big guys

when i tried fishing from the dock they almost kicked me out....
so they said you couldnt fish on the pier at maya barcelo
Been here 15 or 16 times and never saw anyone fish off that pier, especially knowing how they are with environmental issues.
