Oh yes, mummys don't have the same perception as we do, when it comes to the portion we can eat, right? ;-) What a sympathic family. Would be a piece of luck for everyone... - Jaja, Mamas haben nicht immer die gleiche Vorstellung von "viel" oder "wenig" essen wie wir... :-) Was für eine sympathische Familie! Das ist wirklich ein Glücksfall für jeden Menschen.
Does anybody happen to know where Andreas' wife is from since she doesn't seem to speak any German? I think the Neuwirths are the most amazing family in the world. It's a lot of hard work to run a restaurant but still they found the time and patience to raise their 2 (grand)sons to such worthy human beings and always were full of love, understanding and support. Therefore I want to say a big THANK YOU to them that we all now can enjoy a self-confident, kind, intelligent, lovely, fabulous Conchita instead of a miserable, broken Tom, which would have been the result if they had repressed him in his development. For me they all are role models.
Même si je ne comprends pas l'allemand, j'ai vu dans une émission française ( TF1) Conchita Wurst, elle à une famille très tolérante envers la communauté LGBT + et je trouve cela formidable ! 👍👏👏
I try to translate (Unfortunately my English is not so good): PRESENTER: It`s a pleasure for me, a very great pleasure. Hello! Now we have the family here. As I said before: Your restaurant is a kind of favorite pub for all events “from the cradle to the grave”, as country-side people say. But now it has become a little “Lourdes” for ESC-Fans, but especially for the fans of Conchita Wurst. MUM: That`s right. People come and take pictures and it’s a great honor. PRESENTER: That’s beautiful, if you can see it this way, because for some people this would be some kind of burden. MUM: A burden? I don’t think so. PRESENTER: Today it’s surely been a special moment: Conchita Wurst did stay at home again, slept at home, today you’ve had breakfast together… Of course, that’s a part of the great success, that there are only rare moments like that. MUM (emotionally touched): That’s wonderful. It makes us happy if he comes back again. PRESENTER: Does mummy cook the favorite food? MUM: Yes, and of course I call him saying “Ms. Wurst, breakfast is ready!” (People laughing) PRESENTER: What IS the favorite food? MUM: Very little (laughing). Should watch the figure. PRESENTER: So, a little bit of this, a little bit of that? MUM: Coffee and only a small breakfast. (f.e. this morning) PRESENTER: Has it always been this way? MUM: Yes it was. PRESENTER: So it’s cause for despair, if you cook and serve good food, and there is only a little bit eaten? MUM: No, the answer is always that it was good, and that’s enough. PRESENTER: Now today we could see: For Conchita Wurst this has been a very deep moment that has burned into her heart, her soul, remaining unforgettable. How has it been for you as her mother, for the parents, for the brother? MUM: A big honor. I’m very, very happy. (emotionally touched) That he loves to come back home again. PRESENTER: This morning, when I came here, I got this huge agitation: Like an anthill, noone really knew where to go, participants just knew the goal: It starts at 1 p.m., and it should work somehow whithout a rehearsal - BUT: It was good!! MUM: It was very good. PRESENTER: It was very, very beautiful. MUM: It was wonder-wonderful. I think, for all those who took part and have rehearsed something: It was wonderful. PRESENTER: Everybody really took part with his heart and his whole mind, and I hope this has reached you, dear audience, and this also applies for you (…) Today you wanted to show that she’s a big daughter of this municipality. MUM: Thank you so much. PRESENTER: Now I come here… Now, Sigi, it has been a big honor for me, when I came to you two days after the ESC, there was a sceneries like in a bad movie: Police was there and had to look after you to keep you from being overrunned from this avalanche… I suppose that this will have meanwhile subsided… It has been a pleasure for me that at this time you said, you give this interview, to let people know, how proud we are of our daughter, our son. DAD: When you say “overrunned”… You did advertising, right? (smiling) PRESENTER: (can’t translate… some kind of laughing) DAD: … It did not drop. They are in front of the door every day: Busses with fotographers stop and my guests say: “Why don’t you move?” And I answer: “This bus is not subscribed, they will only take pictures.” (audience laughing) PRESENTER: How many languages do you have to know? How many did you have to learn? DAD: I recognized that the most necessary language is Spanish. Because whoever talks to you, it sounds like Spanish to you (In German “sounds like Spanish to me” meens “I don’t understand a word”). (Audience laughing out loud) No, we can manage it with our “School-English”. (= Some words of English, learned in school) PRESENTER: And some quick selfies everywhere, because this possibility isn’t offered every day… DAD: At the beginning my dear Helga (= Conchitas mum) always dressed up for the pictures. That`s over. (audience laughing) She even keeps wearing her work clothing/scarf, because it only takes a view minutes and it’s over again. PRESENTER: She would not have time to cook because of so much making up and dressing up? DAD: I think we would need so much make up, there would not be enough of it in this world. (laughing) PRESENTER: Now, if you have such a celebrity in your family and even have a restaurant: Didn’t you consider creating some special “Wurst”-dishes? DAD: No, because people can spell “Conchita” only now - At the beginning there’ve been many different names used, such as the name of a famous banana, I think... But I don’t remember exactly. (people laughing) No, we didn’t need to do this. We continue cooking our traditional food (Schnitzel and Ripperl) and that’s ok for us. PRESENTER: But it`s a great pleasure. Did your life change as Conchita Wurst`s life did? DAD: We unfortunately had to make a second closing day. PRESENTER: This day is just for you. DAD: Now the first day is for us. PRESENTER: And now you got supplies: fresh autograph cards! DAD: New autograph cards at last!! PRESENTER: I saw them over there… (Cut) The first time… I have often heard… May I come among you… Your wife? SISTER-IN-LAW: Yes PRESENTER: … I have always heard that there’s a brother, but it just was like “Yes, there is a brother, but nobody ever saw him.” Now he’s standing here. How do you feel if your friends ask you… I suppose you answer really proud: “Yes, I am the brother of Conchita Wurst!” BROTHER: Yes, of course, it’s a big honor. I mean, it’s no accomplishment to be the brother of somebody. And if I’m honest, I don’t know, why I am standing here, but… PRESENTER: Because you are the brother! BROTHER (laughing): Yes, that’s right… But of course extremly proud… I mean, it’s indescribable… You grow up with a person… And you witness all this, from childhood onwards, you also know how this person has become this other person, this persona, and it’s undescribable, a very different angle, you see much more behind it, and I’m very proud, because I really know - as my parents -, how much work there’s behind it. It’s not like just falling down somewhere and “Hello, here I am”, but it’s very, very much work and so of course I’m very proud. PRESENTER: I know that your parents have been in Copenhagen, I think YOU watched it on TV? Right? Now, it really braught me to tears: Austria in the lead at last!! The years before you had to own a big TVset, because “Austria” was somewhere in the furthest rim. I have cried. How is it to keep the fingers crossed for the own brother? Knowing it’s been his big goal for years, and in this moment you know: He has made it. BROTHER: It was just undescribable, wonderful. Unfortunately I could not be there because of University, but of course I did everything to see the ESC, rescheduled at work so that I was off and could watch. And of course I cried with him. You couldn’t blink back tears, even if you were a stone. I think that’s impossible to prevent. (SISTER-IN-LAW: Speaking English) *** I hope that I didn't make too many confusing mistakes... *** Mary MG
Yep, definately. Since I voted in the Eurovision this year for the first time ever:). How could we not be:)? Thinking about what the russians did to that interview of hers still makes my blood boil...
