Couldn’t agree more. Would be nice to draft/bring in a coverage linebacker tho. Doesnt have to be a big name but we are just not good enough in coverage as of rn
Quay was great for only like 2 games and against bad teams, let’s pump the breaks till we see it consistently. They still don’t have a 3rd starting LB unless they believe in Hopper, no depth behind that, and Quays future beyond next season is uncertain. They need to sign LBs just to field a roster, unless they want to draft 2-3 of them.
Need to move Quay outside, let him play free like Cooper, and Mike feels like its too much for Quay. Untie his hands from the QB role of defense and let my boy hunt
Bas, I think it would be a great idea if you did a call in show. You have great content that we all appreciate, I’m sure others would love to call in and talk football with you
I think our LB duo with coop n walker will be dynamic both big both can run well. I think will only get better next yr and that will elevate walker for sure. I would like to see us get a dynamic defensive lineman that can stop the run n get after the quarterback. Like I would trade a first rounder this year n a second rounder next year to add someone like Maxx Crosby or Myles Garrett. Highly unlikely I know. But the DLine needs help. We need a solid CB. I like the safety room. Would like to see a dawg at the line position as well. The games are won n lose in the trenches. I like the wr room I like the tight ends I like our rbs as well. Don't think we need an elite receiver. Chiefs are proving that the past two years. In my opinion our team played better with Malik willis then JLove. Throw the ball 23 26 times a game n pound the rock with Jacobs n Lloyd or wilson
We need to look at some free agent offensive lineman and ones that are not injury prone every year since the majority of the draft picks almost never pan out.
The Packers need in FA that I see: CB, DI, ED, WR. Hopefully they can get a playmaker at one of those positions and a starter help at the other 3. A FA LB would be great at the 5th need from my point of view.
I would say that our best shot to get a defensive end/edge would be Trey Hendrickson in FA. Then for the first round get Shavon Revel,Emeka Egbuka, or Aireontae Ersery(We can look at the Eagles and Lions OLine for a beefed up OLine since we got Jordan Morgan in last years draft). Also we can get Jamien Sherwood in FA or Ernest Jones IV. This would really make the Packers legit.
He was mostly used on special teams. I think they just wanted to develop him a little but rest assured he will be a difference maker once he gets his opportunity in my opinion
Dude, would love to see a dominant LB out there with Cooper. I am okay with Quay, hopeful. Not so excited about Baun. Think he just played his best season.
Hey Bass, I hope you’re having a blessed time. I’m one of your biggest fans. I have a question for you. And I’m sure it could be helpful for other people to. Can you drop a video explaining what salary caps are, what void years are, how trades work, and etc. I know the rules of football just to let you know. I just don’t understand the business part of football. Welp I hope you see this. And as always Go Pack Go! 🧀
Top tier for draft & free agency... CB and EDGE Then just below would be in no order- another CB, SAM LB, MIKE LB, OL, WR (wil watson be healthy and will his strength of speed be down now)
CB if we let Jaire go (hope we don't tho) maybe even if we don't. Last year I was on the "we don't need a vet WR", changing my mind on that but we don't need a WR1 per se, we need that slot possession style guy we can rely on to make a contested catch. We have a bunch of splash play guys but the closest thing to a safe check down is Jacob's rn. D-line needs some help but that might have been coaching. Probably need some better depth on Oline.
Jacobs is a good check down for sure but you kinda want more than 1 player to be able to be that guy. I was hoping Romeo would grow into that, but I'm not sure he keeps playing after these concussions. I know I wouldn't.
They aren’t though. Wilson and mcduffie are free agents. Hopper is a complete unknown. Walker is below average. That leaves Cooper as the only guy to be pumped about, maybe they are fine with a year 4 Quay being at least not a liability anymore. But outside of that, the 3rd starter is Hopper or Wilson (brought back potentially on a cheap contract), which isn’t a good thing and the depth is non existent. Plus Walker might be gone in 2026.
Zach Baun would not be a good one lol He’s had a good year but your exact point he ain’t having that year on a different defense , and after the Super Bowl he’s going to be asking for way too much
Meh. These candidates don’t really do anything for me. Our LB room is very solid. Considering how strong the Edge/DT class is this year, we should draft either and sign a cheap vet. That would virtually guarantee a top 10 scoring defense next year.
He's the best coverage LB in the NFL and he was running step for step with Melton in the wildcard game. Our LB's miss tackles all the time anyway, why wouldn't we want some better coverage and athletecism on the back end?
@ which will most likely be our top three. The rest of the roster can be filled on the cheap through the draft or if there’s a screaming bargain for a depth player. I would expect the Packers to sign one of the two though
I agree with your take. Cheap free agents and late draft for depth.. we need a true wr 1 and id keep jaire on a paycut but try to draft a corner 1st round. I wish we could have got cooper dejean instead of morgan but maybe this year we get a corner that can replace or at least play along side jaire if hes healthy@Wyatt274
Quay Walker’s case is more extreme. Based on the off-ball linebacker market, picking up his option would be a huge mistake. If Quay Walker hits the open market, it’s hard to project him making anything close to $16 million based on the level that he has played. At this point, it’s clear that Edgerrin Cooper is the better player for the Green Bay Packers, and Quay Walker has never been significantly better than the depth pieces like Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson. The Packers value Quay Walker as a leader and as a player, but that doesn’t mean that you have to overspend. There are other ways to make it happen. Quay Walker is already under contract for 2025 with a $2.59 million salary and a $4.4 million cap hit. Even without the option, the Green Bay Packers would still have another year from him, and then could attack an extension if they needed ahead of the 2026 free agency. The value would most likely be lower than the option, and with a team-friendlier structure. If the idea is to invest so much in the off-ball linebacker position, Brian Gutekunst could evaluate the top of the market. A player like Dre Greenlaw is set to be a free agent, and projected free agents in 2026 include Devin Lloyd and Nakobe Dean. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

I just dent care for 215 lb LB's I feel like its HS....I get performance rules but I still look for more size.

I do not believe all the interruptions from commercial shit on here now..Drives me crazy...
Love this time of year. Free agency and draft prep. It's nice the Packers can actually sign Free Agents now.
I like the idea of Greenlaw on a prove it deal, low risk high reward
With Saleh back he’ll like stay for unders
He won’t leave the bay bro packer fan living in central cali 49ers love that guy
most players wouldnt sign a prove it deal if there are other teams interested in them now for multi year contract
Would be nice addition but I don't see it happening.
Coverage backer is absolutely needed. Every linebacker we draft or sign should be able to cover
Move hopper to edge rusher
Ernest Jones is a beast!! He would be the perfect middle linebacker for Hafleys defense and let quay and cooper run wild!!
No LBs. Cooper and walker together are gonna create havoc. We only got a few games with them together and they were great. Need DE, CB and WR
Couldn’t agree more. Would be nice to draft/bring in a coverage linebacker tho. Doesnt have to be a big name but we are just not good enough in coverage as of rn
Meh need all of them

@@Matt-yq3gq exactly. Do we really want to see mcdufffie play 600 snaps again? He’s a solid backup. Never should be a starter though.
Someone to compete to try to push Quay to McDuffie's role... that's ideal. Competition is needed
The high rated linebackers have good defensive lines in front of them to keep the blockers off them
And really good corners and safeties.
Need to move Quay outside, let him play free like Cooper, and Mike feels like its too much for Quay. Untie his hands from the QB role of defense and let my boy hunt
It's amazing that GB has struggled to get a MLB for 15 years and teams like the 49ers seem to have one every single year
We have two great MLB's Quay and Coop' they aren't being used to full potential, at least Quay Walker isn't @doofapotamus2323
Bas, I think it would be a great idea if you did a call in show. You have great content that we all appreciate, I’m sure others would love to call in and talk football with you
Word on the street, De'Vondre Campbell will be available... sleeper pickup 😂
Might get an upset stomach at halftime. Hard pass... 😒😂
Observation: Surprised how few Badgers the Packers draft.
Especially TJ Watt lol
Defensive tackles!

Baun is also from Brown Deer so that's probably an added cherry on the sundae if he is considering green bay
My only problem with Quay playing anything other than the Mike makes twist my face a little after seeing how he blows up the A gap consistently
What’s the story on Tyron Hopper and his lack of snaps? Injury?
He was mostly used on special teams. I think they just wanted to develop him a little but rest assured he will be a difference maker once he gets his opportunity in my opinion

When do you start on mock drafts?
Do wide receivers next. Thanks for sharing the content brother

When are the draft videos starting?
Would be interested in what edge rushers you'd think we'd get
Hit me with that desperately desired edge rusher video already ✌️😅
Let’s get a video on long snapper options
When do mock drafts start?
Trade for Maxx Crosby and Pick Up Dj Reed
Top tier for draft & free agency...
CB and EDGE
Then just below would be in no order- another CB, SAM LB, MIKE LB, OL, WR (wil watson be healthy and will his strength of speed be down now)
Given the age and the injury for Greenlaw, it seems unlikely for the Pack to grab him.
CB if we let Jaire go (hope we don't tho) maybe even if we don't.

🤔 Reuniting Bush and Gary would be crazy
Do D line and Receivers
Drew Dallman !
Linebacker are hard to judge…I rather take a chance on rookie linebacker. If they like that linebacker from Alabama I think can pull the pick.
I think they need to work on the defensive line The linebackers are straight for the moment
They aren’t though. Wilson and mcduffie are free agents. Hopper is a complete unknown. Walker is below average. Why trade Alexander? What did the secondary show with him injured? Nothing!
Nick Bolton 32 off the chiefs would be dope
Do a video on maxx crosby or mykes garret
Greeen could bee a cheap option, zach baun defintly re sign with eagles
Yes cause we need better backups
Packers should watch their nickles and dimes. Not much money under the cap to throw around.
Idk feels like Zach Baun is having a Kyler Fackrell year...
thought youd say campbell
You can't be serious 😂

Bauns missed tackles with whose behind him on the pack no reason to bring him here

@doofapotamus2323 ya good point / he's getting up there in age too but I'm no expert
Nope I don’t like the idea of bringing greenlaw in gonna be another Alexander issue of him being injured and on the bench more than on the field
Zack Baun would be my choice, but the Eagles will probably re-sign him.
I highly doubt Zach Baun is going to be available.
Yeah coop got better every game
Get Devin Bush for cheap, resign Quay, invest money into Corner or Pass rush then which ever you dont target the other in the draft
Baun benefits from playing around other talented players I don't think he's as good as his numbers suggest he is
Don’t think any of these guys will be available. Greenlaw would be great but with Saleh back in the building he’s not going anywhere.
Add Danny stutsman in draft
Get Bolton from chiefs
Thanks. They all sound like a terrible idea. Resign Quay
That's great, who are we playing behind Cooper and Walker?
@doofapotamus2323 somebody cheaper. This is just a look at some top line guys available, right?
The Packers do not need linebackers…
Wilson and McDuffie are UFA's which leaves us with Cooper, Walker and Hopper. What do you mean we don't need LB's???

Trade Dobbs to patriots for a 1st and 3rd pick
You got one spelling error there, but not awful for typing in your dream.
This is not Madden lol
Everyone look at Danny stutsman Oklahoma linebacker highlights
Greenlaw and Sherwood are the best options here
