- Well we've done it folks, we've made it to part three of this series and I have finally picked a pen and ink (the ink is featured in a short that went up 30 minutes after this video). What did you think of this series? Should I do something like this in the future? Let me know in the comments down below!

Good choice! Both the Jinhao X159 and Jinhao 9019 are both surprisingly good pens. The 9019 is Sailor KOP size and an enormous new converter that Jinhao developed just for it. Very affordable, too. You need to get and review one! 😁
Really enjoyed the series of videos!
The x159 is a surprisingly good pen, I still can't decide between that one and my 1911 Realo so I have both inked up at work :D
Jinhao X159 sounds great (I actually like the original 159; love the size/weight of that model). I had the opportunity to check out a few Benu models at the pen show going on this weekend in my area. Hope to examine and write with many other brands over the next couple of days.
I now own three Benu Briolettes, earlier models from this maker prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine when the owners packed up shop and got out of Dodge...I mean Moscow. Loud, but cool, and for pens that don't post and have no clips, they make it up by being so out there and good performers. The x159 is amazing. Sweet call!
That was fun. Super cool that you ended up picking a very cheap pen, likely the cheapest.
Thanks Kerry!
Love this! And I'm surprised by the winner of today's video - or, rather, what didn't win!
My first Jinhao x159 did not write and that was before I learned how to do minor nib adjustments. I may have to get another one and try again.
It's interesting when you get back to pens you've not used in a while. It's why the ones in use currently I have are gold nibbed, when it's generally half steel nibs in use. I realised that I'd been ignoring some that I really like to use for quite a while.
3 is too many? The formula for determining how many pens you need is N+1. N being your current number.😂
Yes, the Galen Leather Kaweco is not really orange. More of a leather/tobacco brown, IMO.
Nice choice with the Jinhao! Generally at least one in my rotation for the month is a Jinhao. I really think they're nice, especially for the price, and they do a really nice fine.
I have a pilot custom 74 on order, hope it lives up to it's reputation !!
Why didn’t you call it Fountain Pen Inkstincts :(
So, youve not inked and used fountain pens in months? Can I ask why?
I always love your videos. I am boycotting buying Russian products right now, maybe you aren't. I love your pens.
Beni left Russia in protest of the war.
@joanwerthman4116 I had not heard that thank you. It is odd my fault I'm sure but I collect and subscribe to several pen channels and had not heard that.
