Thanks for your video of Mauritania, not too complicated for the lay person. Mauritania's sister ship Luciatania was sunk by a German U-boat in WW1, in a busy shipping lane despite being warned not to sail. Incidentally, my late paternal grandfather was a merchant seaman, aged about 21 years ? He, and his ship mates were in this shipping lane and pulled the lost souls aboard his merchant vessell. One woman had a child under each arm, frozen solid together by the icy condition. My grandparents have all past, and I am near 60 myself. So sad these stories remain in the family, R.I.P the souls of the Luciatania 💚🌎🗽
Mauretania is an underated she deserves a large community because just like Olympic her competitor made a history of their own. also I'm kind of surprised, I did not knew Mauretania was painted white during the great war from what I knew she was painted white during her cruising days during the 1930's juse to remain in service.

Fun fact: Mauretania was getting scrapped along with RMS Olympic on the same place, and that they were rivals of eachother in their respective heydays
