I have been watching this video over and over for years. I love the Dru so much. I’ve cried because this video is home and trying to discribe the beauty that is the Dru is so hard. You capture it so well. Thank you for bringing happy tears to me. It’s my favourite video on you tube 💕
Thank you for sharing. I had the very good fortune of once having worked at the Druidston Hotel way back in tthe summer of 1976 and again in 1977, when Rod and Jane Bell ran the Hotel. It was a haven for many famous musicians that came to visit them after they came off the road from doing the lighting for bands like Genisis. Most of the 13 or so staff that worked there were largely made up of young guests who had previously stayed there with their parents, and having loved it so much for its exentricity and fun filled relaxed atmosphere, that they came back to experience it more fully. Rod and Jane, and their then 2 /3 year old son Angus and their dog Ruggles were a beacon of light for all who came to work or stay as guests. I believe Angus now runs the hotel with his wife. I do hope they carry on the tradition of great food, beer, wine ,hopitality and relaxed atmosphere that his parents had fostered so many years ago. The hotel and beach are a dream to be enjoyed if you ever get a chance to stay there !
