I was friends with David in high school. I always loved going to his house. His room had movie posters all over it. I knew he was gonna go far with his acting. He was a great friend
Wow. I heard that... Their lives is like blank pages. They're filling it up, for a good read. Just as Neil said, about being alone. He said it wasn't a bad thing. That, hits home. It's s not a bad thing. I'm so happy for their happiness. We all, deserve it.
I went to high school with David Burtka and his sister, and was in choir with him throughout most of high school. I remember he also signed one of my yearbooks and gave me his phone number. It’s so surreal to see him now. I just remember him from high school as a nice, friendly guy.
Saw a photo of the 4 of them at a baseball game. Just a family photo moment. Neil was sitting with his arms expanded and touching his kids shoulders and David was smiling. Everyone looked happy but I was struck by the meaningful look expressed in Neil’s eyes. It was a moment of soul saying: I have family. I found the photo beautiful and felt happy for these four people: they are family.
It's wild that people in their twenties are so quick to predict and lament that they'll spend the rest of their lives alone lol. I understand because I went thru the same phase but it's really silly. Your WHOLE life I'd ahead of you lol. It's the pressure that you're supposed to be married and have hit a bunch of milestones like "everyone else" by 35. And especially 30. I'm 43 and a lifelong spinster. I really love my solo life and enjoy it immensely. Any young people watching this, please know that as the years go on, you become more content and create the life you enjoy on your own. It's super easy not to settle when you realise how great your own life is & don't want a sub-par human ruining it. If you watch people 40+ on social media who are single, they overwhelmingly are happy. And the science backs this up, especially for women. Live your best life, there's so much of it and it's not worth wasting it pining to have someone in it, making it more complicated and harder.
“Most people are happy on social networks.” Of course, this is social network. Statistics will tell you otherwise. The vast majority of people perceive loneliness as something very sad due to the fact that this way of thinking is imposed by society. For example, I am not eager to look for a partner, but at the same time I find living alone all my life quite depressing.
@user-kt3fd6yj5o what statistics are you talking about? I have an internet communications degree mate & the "statistics" on loneliness & the internet are largely positive. Your personal experience does not represent "statistics" as a whole. Loneliness & depression due to living alone, they're things you can do something about & I didn't make any comments about people "perceiving loneliness to be sad". Of course being lonely is sad, I didn't dispute that/comment about it.
They had kids before they got married 8 years ago, it says they are 11 turning 12 this year.... your comment is just stupid, I think they’re doing great!!
