Shark attack survivor returns to share the story of the day a white pointer took his arm at the beach. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/P5qk7zyFmE8/v-deo.html
I've watched this episode it's terrifying 😧😧
hm
did you know that sharks don't like eating people they just think that we are going to hurt them.
but not all
Possibly, probably, an opportunity to fill the stomach- just as any of us would seemingly do.
Its easier to belive that he was bitten by a shark than that man is 34..
Fr
Omfg yes I was like HOW can he be 35 drug abuse ages you but... That much?!
@Dylan Hopkins fr means for real and omfg means oh my feing god
I noticed he was smoking a cig outside the hospital. Smoking cigarettes ages the hell you
He's younger than me, mad
That paramedic was not buying it at all 😂
definitely experienced with druggies
yeah, me either...lol.
When they ask you the same question multiple times back to back in different tones you know they're not going for it 😂
Soooooooooooooooo
True
Same his story changes every minute 😂
I love how the lifeguards are so supportive of each other. They do an incredible job.
They not only have a wonderful team but they give off the impression of "Family." I think to be able to do their type of job they would have to have AMAZING team work!!!! If not they wouldn't be able to do their jobs as well as they do. I just recently found these guys and they're AMAZING!!!! Keep up the FANTASTIC work guys!! I would LOOOOOVE to be able to visit your beautiful beach. But I'll never see it unfortunately 💔😭
Yes exactly what I think
The fact that they collected the stuff not because it was "an eyesore" or "littering", but because they understand that those few things may be everything the person has in the world is very sweet.
Ya
Dealing with a body that has been dead and in the water for that long is a tall order for anyone. Having to hug that body and hold it on that board is not a task I would want to have to do more than once. To the higher ups that talked the younger guy through it and reassured him he was doing well was a job well done and the world could use more people like that. As well as checking up with him after the event got his mental health. Sadly, the faces never go away. And sometimes smells seem like you can’t get them off you no matter how much you wash. Keep up the good work and maybe those memories will move to the back and new good ones take over
Absolutely, I saw a drowned woman's body when I was 6 and I still occasionally have nightmares of it. I'm 29
@@Masuba I might’ve seen a dead body in the water when I was younger I was swimming and a white thing popped up it was either something dead or a object idk but it wasn’t alive anyway I pushed it away and it never came back up and then the next day there was a man found washed up with a white shirt on about 100 metres away from where I was swimming
@@Masuba I’m sorry you had to see it. I know it’s hard to unsee some things no matter how hard. I have a memory like that and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to wipe it from my memory.
Dear lord, when has everybody lost any resilience? People used to be able to deal with hardships but nowadays everthing is traumatising and causing mental health problems….
@@Celisar1 your right… we are so soft. Can you believe how messed up people can get from seeing a bloated corpse, with limbs frozen in place?.. every 6 year old back in your day used to think it was funny, and poke it with sticks…. And dealing with the smells that can be present as death closes in, or the smells of brain as it cooks in the sun. Oh, or the sounds of gurgling and choking on blood, while trying to hold onto life or trying to be saved even though it was a mortally wounding…. Yep, some people can deal with sort of stuff, but others can’t. I pray that the people who can handle it are in a medical field and can keep that stuff from dehumanizing the people they are trying to save/heal and have a way to handle those sorts of things, I am not one of those people. I’ve dealt with the stuff I’ve seen, but I don’t want my son to ever have to know any of those things. We should all want that for any child. You can send a person to a mental health counselor but it only keeps those things your trying to forget in the front of your mind. I understand some people have that sort of stuff as a daily job, it’s just not for me. I know I can handle things if an emergency occurs, but after the fact is when it gets me, and it just started to bother me more and more. To want others to not have to go through some of that trauma is out of compassion. You can call me soft all you want, it doesn’t keep me from worrying about others mental health…. Even you. Best of luck to you.
75 liters of blood is absolutely insane if you think about the fact that the human body usually only has about 5 liters of blood at a time. He had every drop of blood replaced 15 times and lived, crazy how far medicine has come.
😂
Can't believe the first guy actually tried to fake a shark injury! 🤯
Right?! It's hard to believe that someone would actually try to fake a shark attack, especially when lives are at stake.
Yeah I watched that one on tv 😀
Same
And an endangered shark died in a net
Thank you for treating the deceased with such respect and dignity while awaiting the police boat. Stay safe on the frontline!
honestly the first story once he told the story that he was bitten and he said he was punching the shark in the nose I noticed he did the punching motion with his injured arm.
When thinking back on events and telling a story you automaticly do the same motions as you remember them so he should have been punching with his other arm since his injured arm was stuck.
oooooo good shout
Good catch!! That was the most convincing evidence that he didn’t get bit!!
Kelly gave it away, she didnt take long to get a new boyfriend lol
Yeah but my friend did got bitten by a shark she still can put her bitten arm up but it cost a lot of pain but now she’s has healed
That shark bite aged him 20 years
Wasn’t even a shark he got it from robbing a house thru a window which caused the injury
The way the doc lifted up the skin as if he was lifting a piece of paper😭😭😭💀💀💀
Dude with the shark attack... SO sketchy. Who gets bit by a shark with blood everywhere and just goes to sleep? Also 34 years old? He looks 50.
I'm 52 lol I hope I don't look that old 😂
His tattoo is at least 34 years old
@@traviscoates6878 Yes! 🤣
he’s 100% a drug addict. he didn’t get bit and he was high on painkillers
@@Samegg02 I'm 52 too!!
i feel sorry for the girlfriend she was scared of him? that sounds like an abusive relationship glad hes locked up and hope shes well
I thought the same 😕 I fear he was threatening her if she didn’t go along with his story
in the first one?
I got to that part and immediately scanned for comments. hope the lifeguards took note of that as well since they're usually so good about men harassing girls and things like that
I think she meant for him
@@veronicalynn876mhm!
imagine digging a sand castle and you find a shark in the sand you’d have a heart attack
luckily it isn't a german beach
Sand shark😂
TOO REAL
10:44 Poor shark, I feel bad for it. They aren't actually dangerous, they're referred to as "sea puppies"
Ur delusional
Shut up
They ARE dangerous they just rarely attack, but yes I feel bad aswell may the shark rest in peace
@@Blue_pheonix1987 people are more dangerous
"They aren't actually dangerous" 🤦♂️
I didn’t believe the first guy… AT… ALL
Yeah the girlfriend was putting me off, and that was my first sign
As a Tasmanian, we do not claim him.
The first guy cut himself on glass after committing a crime. He’s trying to cover his tracks so he can be ruled out of the investigation
@@gregdetweiler7265 tbh, you can’t jump to conclusions.
But there definitely is a possibility
@@user-ec4gy3hf8j It was revealed in the episode
The guard taliking about the amount of adrenaline you'd have in your body if a shark really bit yoy was spot on.
My father in law had a bull shark attack his outrigger last year, completely destroyed it. He was so amped up for hours afterwards.
I like in the first story how they tip toe around the fact that he was bit by a shark while also very high probably. Both are probably true at the same time.
Because he was high, probably he has fallen on the sharp shark rocks on the beach 😂😂😂😂
It was revealed in the episode he cut his arms on glass while committing a crime and fabricated this story.
How dumb are the lifeguards to believe that was a shark?
@@Gecko.... they have to give him the benifit of the doubt
Huge respect to the cameramen for capturing these disturbing moments.
“if someone was brave tonight, it was him” oof, these boys are so sweet 😭😭 and the blood donation 😭
“The shark breathed on me” that’s amazing since sharks like any other fish don’t breathe, I wonder where the shark learnt to do that.
It was probably gas being released from the stomach
It was decomposing and gas came out, they said that
@@kizzashizza yes I realise that, I was just making a little jokey joke
That dude faking a shark attack is the kind of thing that encourages people to keep up those ecologically harmfully shark nets. It makes me so mad. We just need to leave sharks alone. We go into their ecosystem and get mad when they occasionally defend themselves. No one gets mad when a lion attacks someone. They ask what the person was doing in the lion’s territory.
Well said
The shark nets cause a stagnation in the shark and they become literally choked to death.
@@mtsfloridaand they’re so sweet genuinely they’re like dogs of the water
they’re mostly just trying to play too which make it even sadder
Oh yes we should all have a shark for a pet, what a shame I never thought if that.
Imagine the poor kids digging a hole where "Frank" was buried-! XD
Shoutout to the ones who didn’t believe dumdum munchausen by sharky 🦈
If you’re questioning if someone is conning you… they aren’t a good con artist!
It breaks my heart more when I see the sharks dead in the nets.
Watching these videos make you value your life and how precious it truly is. That any day could be your last. You men and woman are genuine hero's dont forget that.
I want to visit bondi so bad, but I won't be going in the water past my feet lol
Actually I think I would feel safer there than anywhere, I would just be more worried about jellyfish stings being more common there. The beach I go to only has lifeguards in one area of the beach and no shark net, Ive been swimming several times and seen sharks and there’s no one to warn you until you see people frantically getting out of the water lol
There's an amazing homemade dumpling and noodle place just across from the beach. That's my option when I go there instead of swimming. Besides, the beach is over crowded.
There are hundreds of nicer beaches in Australia than Bondi. It's just a mosh pit tourist trap.
Worst beach in Sydney.
R.I.P Frank the shark
they missed a bit on the first part, he first said he woke up at 10:30am and then he said again that he woke up at 6am
This story gets better and better as time goes on 😂
Right😂 he adds more and more each time
R.I.P FRANK
The first guys story was so fake he kept changing his story and then he said that he got bit by a gummy shark . Gummy sharks have no teeth so how could he be bitten by one. Gummy sharks are known as sea puppy’s
The first time I saw the cuts on his arm I was like dang!! That shark's missing a lot of teeth!! The cuts are so far apart!! Which shark has teeth like that?!?
That beach doesn´t needs a shark net, it needs a human net
YES! FRR
Man I thought I'd die laughing when the shark burped on Bacon
Sharks dying in the nets just so people can go swimming is absurd.
I know right
First guy was just looking for the green whistle 😅
He was smoking it like a cigar 😂
imagine youre all over TV 2 times and you end up in Jail
shark attacks against humans are actually very rare. shark bites are typically exploratory by nature, so the person may be splashing about making it appear as though they are in distress and the shark takes a bite thinking of food. my dream is to swim with a great white
Really? This is news to me
@@traviscoates6878 yeah they wont attack you unless u provoke them or any thing like that
@@traviscoates6878 if you see one, stay upright and tread water calmly until it leaves, they get scared if you're upright because no fish do that
Splashing is the worst thing you can do around a shark. They immediately are attracted to splashing because they think it could be injured prey. Always stay still, look the shark in the eyes and push it away on their nose.
@@bluerosesv5905exactly, this why is marine biologists dive right next to great whites and remain unscathed, they know how to not provoke a shark.
Bondi rescue doesn't get enough recognition 👌👌
That Aussie spirit is unmatchable 😊
You never forget the first dead person you see. I have been working in geriatric care for 15 years and have seen and accompanied several. But I still remember exactly the name, age and situation of the first dead people I saw.
Thanks for your work, keep it up. 😊🍀🍀
Thank you for sharing your experience. Witnessing death can indeed leave a lasting impression. Your dedication to geriatric care is commendable, and we appreciate your kind words of support. Take care! 💙
Poor big Grey Nurse, they're practically harmless. Didn't deserve to die in the net.
That first guy, looks like hes on something (since he claims he only had three tinnies), and fell on the rocks or was attacked by people. Then he wants more drugs for his pain. Yeah, not buying the shark bites. He got his 5 minuts though.
Imagine seeing a shark and then realizing it’s actually a seal.. and saying they’re friendly. Those things also attack people xD
I mean, any animal can attack people lol
Is it true that seals are aggressive?
It is amazing how well they do there job and make sure everyone is ok
We should appreciate all lifeguards and how much effort they put into there job.
I am so impressed with how well they deal with different coincidences so everyone give a round of applause pause for all lifeguards around the whole world especially Bondi beach👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you all❤❤❤✌️✌️🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
For the shark who was buried: "dearly beloved, we have gathered here today to bury out friend Bruce. Bruce was a good shark and always ate the best food. May he rest in peace and be surrounded by plenty of fish to eat in the afterlife. Amen."
That guy is a pathological liar through and through 😂
A Drone would be of great advantage to Bondi.
They have them have for a while a lot of these are older episodes..
Australian surfers are the greatest surfers in the world.
I hope I remember to come back.
HAHDNTDVGRDGHN SAME BRUV 💀💀💀
Australians are truly Amazing. They all seem so tough. Like way tougher than brits or Americans. They live in such an extreme environment that it breeds super tough people
Africans are even tougher. I have lived in both countries and Australia is Africa lite lol
thank you :D
Heroes in action. I would rather get in and out of the water 40 times than be fish food. Thanks guys.
fish think we taste terrible
Awww how sad for the poor shark in the net,,bless you guys haveing to wait with a body,i feel for you,so sad,God bless all you guys much respect, thank you for this😊❣️
The lifeguards are a fantastic team, they do an amazing job in trying to keep ppl safe
Rip frank
That poor Russian guy who got eaten in Egypt last month was horrific
The shark being clubbed to death by all those men after was also pretty horrific.
Australia has a great approach to instant pain relief with the " green whistle " . It's a great alternative to synthetic opiates except for priority use.
Not only in Australia. It's getting more common everywhere, gradually. Life changer for any paramedic!
I’ve seen some really cool jet ski docks and launches in the past. With as popular as that beach is you could have a roller rail system that goes from the tower down to the water. It could save a lot of time. A team goes out jumps on the ski and the person staying in the shack could hit the launch to release it and gravity do the work. I could see several ideas working really well. The other thing I thought about was the board on the back of the ski. Having sides that can flip up and lock in place to make it more like a canoe could really help in holding whatever has to be put in it, alive or dead. For a young man to have to hold on to a body like that with sharks and waves is nuts. You would figure that the police would have some sort of boat right there at this world renowned beach. By the time it took them to get out to the body the life guards might as well just tied it to the board and taken it to them.
I love your idea of the ski having a system to help hold those on the bed in place.
It wouldn't be viable, however, to have a track go from the tower to the beach as it would limit beach access.
The police in the area have a boat that occasionally gets dispatched to the beach.
@@blakemayprice it would have to be an elevated system, therefore the beach would still be very assessable by walking under.the jetski can be hitting the water and already be 30 or more feet out. I really like the idea, my imagination would be very expensive, and would be a task just keeping the people from wanting to use for recreational purposes. Cause to have the ability to get the machine moving , there'd be a constant water flow be pump from the ocean .☺️
@@wynottgivemore9274 it isn’t just about beach goers, the rino’s also have to be able the travel across the beach freely so it would take a lot of time and effort and money for something that would be cool high maintenance high cost and pointless when they can just use the buggy, it would also be coming from the council’s money which they would just say to continue using the buggy’s as it is far more cost effective
@@mixsmasher i believe that is what i said...it would cost a ton of money. But it could be done, so it was not obstructing, low maintenance and so forth. So much money ,that it would be more cost efficient to get personal rescue hover crafts ...but what they could do now,is put out more camera's and or sensors at certain distances to notify of sharks, and or swimmer's.
A ramp would divide the beach in half and take some considerable amount of place.
The Jetski seems to be on the water in times of high demand. I personally believe that's enough. It's a cost vs benefit decision.
Sounds like Scott needs to get himself to a meeting.
What's even scarier is her second male companion looks dodgier than the first
Right? I thought it was the same guy. I hope she's okay. Unfortunately, sometimes it's hard to get out of situations like that.
I’m so excited for the premiere
Glens a top bloke making it thru something so tough and painful.
Know glen my preyers that you may recover with ease are with you.
Your one tough good bloke!
Would you rather be a superhero or a supersidekick?
superhero
I want to be a superhero like Homelander
did anyone notice it looks like the lady from the first fake shark attack stole a pair of the sunglasses from the life guards?
Ok, but at 3:24 when the paramedics just lifted his skin like that- shivers,
32:17 I want a “I’m fabulous” sticker too! 😮
We have to be so thankful of our lifegaurds as they risk their lives for us
That guy who got 'bitten'by a shark, his girlfriend seems so different after she came back and he wasnt there...
I think it’s a pretty clear sign of him having been either verbally, emotionally or physically abusive
@@GayDisaster16 She got the look to her like she abuses him right back, lol. Some couples function like that, sick as it is.
@@GayDisaster16 That's exactly what went through my head
He didn’t even get bit by a shark he cut him self
I’m 39 in a few days and I’m a smoker (I get told I look in my mid 20’s) when they said 34 I was literally 😮
this is what i watch when im bored
The lifeguards do so much and save so many lives, But sometimes things are out of their capabilities, R.i.p all those lost, merry christmas..
I wish I could come to bondi!! It's so far away from me though!
Same
Start saving, then you'll get to go there. 👍
It’s a 30 minute drive for me
Wow these blokes deserve a medal to be holding a dead body on a jet ski for almost a hour unbelievable I couldn’t do it hope you guys get threw this great job very brave
Im so Excited
Imagine trying to get a story from a guy whos on gas and air and call it legit 🤣
They need a drone in operation while they're on duty.
Have a birds eye view of the water and will know when sharks are near.
Good luck changing the batteries on that every 30 minutes or so
@@graytoby1TheMalibuArtist has a pretty good system. I'm sure a government could figure something out too.
@@forallthestupidshit3550 yeah maybe,..... the governments probably more concerned about bombing Afgans with drones rather than stopping people getting eaten by sharks with drones sadly
It’s like everyone out of the water there’s a seal 🦭😂🤣
The Shark Bite Guy was a Dope Head.
Bondi is the best!!
I love bondi
Poor Chappo was so sure it was not a shark!
I love the sound of the shark alarm 😍
To be fair that first guys wound LOOKS like a shark bite
Not really. Shark bites do not look that clean and just 3 or 4 single cuts, since their teeth are close together. The edges would be more fringed and the wound would have the from of a half-circle.
no it doesn’t lol
That I believe but 34 …😂
Don’t know a lot about shark bites but when they lift the flap on the elbow it looks very clean cut for a bite.
How exactly?
Combined IQ of first couple: 2.
I was that shark: that man fed me and my whole family
Scary that they didnt realise that the bite mark is not made by a shark. Teeth arent that far apart. That's a bad fall on the rocks or fun with glass 😅
Oooh guys😢You have a hard job, especially if there are dead bodies☹️You are Heroes, you know that, right?🌊🙏🏄Once I found early in the morning on the beach a discarded body of a young boy who disappeared the day before, I understand you☹️I never went deep into the water again! Stay healthy♥️
It’s the sharks ocean.
It’s devastating to see the dead shark 😢
Is there anything else I could watch that's as interesting as this and it's also in Australia?
worlds strictest parents australia is pretty good?
Bondi vet maybe?
Bro that man is just chill with it
I feel so bad for the beautiful shark
"We are private detectives now" 😂
It's a very versatile job 😂
@BondiRescue you wear many hats.
Ofc the first one from tassie
The first guy now has some sick cuts 😂
You all need drones!! Much better way of "eyes" on the water. Thanks for being there to help people. God bless and protect.
The first clip I remember watching on tv.. no one in my family believed me when i said he was lying. At the end he got the injury from breaking and entering. His story changed EVERY time in the episode.. It made no sense and I couldn't believe they fell for it..
