I just got PoB Community Fork. ( portable version) It runs perfectly on my Linux Mint 22 system. I just need to wait a few days for my graphics card and I can get started with my witch. TY for sharing
The github page has had some more releases added to it and not all of them have installers included. If you dont see the right options, scroll down through the releases until you see a release that has a little down arrow with the words "Assets (4)" next them. If you click the down arrow, you should be able to see the same install options shown in the video. Even if you install an older version of Path of Building from this same project, it will automatically download the latest update for you when you run it for the first time. Sorry for any confusion!
Hi I have a question maybe you can help me with. I thought I installed the newest POB fork but I get a error every time I try to open it some LUA index error. Heard many people saying if you get that error it's because you downloaded the old version not the fork but I have done that or at least think I have although the download says nothing about "fork". Yeah I just uninstalled the version I had and installed from your link and still get the error =(
@@ThmsDouglas The best advice I can offer you would be to try uninstalling what you have and directly follow either the first link in the description, or the steps shown in the video to reach the right github page. The whole PoB vs PoB Community Fork thing is definitely a little confusing, but the CF version is the one you need. If you try one install option and get the same error, I recommend trying the other one as well. If you still get errors after trying both, feel free to let me know what kind of error it gives and I'll see what I can find out from there.
Found this as a current issue in the github project: github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/issues/5919 With the recent major updates, it's possible something got broken from that and started causing your issue. If you aren't in a hurry to use PoB, you can wait a week or two and see if there are any bug fix updates to sort things out, or linked below is a solution that was helpful for some people experiencing the issue mentioned in the original thread. PoB Graphical Fix: github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/issues/4736#issuecomment-1211478087 Fair warning, it involves downloading specific files from a different offshoot of the PoB project and replacing them in the version you have installed, so it is a little involved. Either way, I hope this helps!
@@Wilucco Figured it out! Looks like I had multiple copies all different on 2 different drives and One Drive which I think is the one that gave me the problems. I deleted them all, reinstalled now works.
dude this was such a save of nerves ... i mean i know its simple but when u dont know shi4 about pc/s like i dont ... thank you so much this saved my nerves A LOT ! take care and all thebest !
Glad I could help! I know PCs well and it still makes me a little nervous to click that "I trust this program" button even when I know what Im installing lol. Have fun with PoB and thanks for watching!
Hi! Is there a way to update PoB without having to install the latest version? I mean I always have to delete and reinstall PoB just to get it to the latest version. There is an update.exe but whenever I launch it, it just says no file selected on the command prompt that pops up.
every time you open the program it should check for updates automatically. If if finds one, usually it will show a green button in the bottom left that say "Update Available." If you click that, it should update then restart itself so you have all the new features
I believe this only works on pc. If you want to plan builds on mobile you may be able to use a site like poe-planner. You dont have to install anything for that so you should be able to just use it from your phone's browser
As far as I know, no. There's an app on the android marketplace called Poemate that seems to do something similar, but I've never used it so I can't say whether it's good or not. If you're trying to plan a build on your phone, there's a website called PoE planner you could try using. If you're trying to import a build so you can look at it from your phone, there's a website called pobb.in that will let you paste a pastebin link and see all the details of the build. Hopefully that helps!
