12:42 - I'm getting married in Austria this year. I mentioned "Rock the Boat" to my girlfriend, and got the reply "eh? what's that?". None of her family have ever heard of it either!
The Irish side of the wedding will show them the way - I'll have to get it written into the contract here too, just to be sure :)

My cousin got married on New Years at the Shearwater in Ballinasloe and I hadn’t a clue what “rock the boat” was. But residence bar open all night allowed for quite the session. Fan from Boston, MA stationed in Bahrain 👍🏻

Me and my husbabd are a 'mixed' marriage and the day we had to see the priest we were having a huge row in the car before we went in (about something unrelated). We were literally like John and Mary from Fr. Ted when we went into the room ... he asked if we could forsee any problems in the future and we smiled sweetly at each other and assured him our future was rosy. 27 years later we're still together and have a laugh when we think of that day 😂 We still have rows but we just dont have the same energy to keep them going for too long.

My father in law died after being married over 50 years and my mother in law was applying for her pension. They were married in a hurry at the time. Turns out the paperwork was never sent away by the priest and they wernt officially married all these years! She had to locate the priest who married them ... who by some miracle happened to be still alive. It was stressful but funny too 😂
