I find Sokolov's playing to be sublime, natural, and profound. This work by Franck is one of those beautiful pieces that are not well known to general public, so I always feel that it deserves more recognition. Thank you for uploading this file. It was a hidden gem I luckily came across on UA-cam!

Sokolov has this genuine ability to differ his touch so you hear incredible versatility of colours. Franck's piece is written in typical organ texture and also requires many "combinations of organ voices". And more: Franck's luxurious harmonic palette... Sokolov feels that magnificent composition and plays it finally in right way!

Ist ja sagenhaft! Nie habe ich dies Werk so verinnerlicht erlebt. Hatte es selber gespielt, haha, halt vier Qualitätsstufen tiefer. Voller feinster Düfte, danke, danke, guter Grigory!
    Und danke für das raufladen!

Remarkable clarity in this rapt, deep, and most tender of piano masterpieces. But Rubinstein is more ecstatic.

      No, Sololov is NOT G-d.
      Only G-d is G-d.
