    Haha!!, im on an early morning Fred Dibnah binge watching session and absolutely loving it!!!. I'm only 36 (still old I know), but these videos give me such a lovely nostalgic feeling!. Fred's enthusiasm, wise and easy-going outlook on life and knowledge about this long forgotten art is so refreshing and appealing to watch!. It makes me sad that artists like this truly are a dying breed!!

      Same here. Oh how I love to travel back in time to those days. This was early 80s I think so I would of been 4/5 years old. But life just seemed so much more happier back then!

      I am lucky enough to have been a nipper in the 70's and I can still remember what it was like. I was at an impressionable age after all. I can remember watching 'Rising Damp, 'The Goodies' etc. Sat on the floor as a 6 year old in front of the telly. My parents on the sofa behind me laughing.

    I've loved Fred and his incredible courage since I was a child in the 80's. But now, as an adult I also feel sad for Britain's industrial heritage turned to rubble in this clip too.

    Wouldn't want to be out there under a collapsing chimney without a hooter.

    Bloody genius was Fred. Self taught and nowt he wouldn't have a go at. Amazing how he only got an MBE when the Queen honoured his achievements. There,s a local woman just got an OBE for being a midwife&writing a book on it. Only doing what she was trained&well paid for. But they,ve always been good at blowing their own trumpet in Clitheroe!!!

    what type of horn is that hes using?

    • @CelticSaint
      @CelticSaint 3 роки тому +2

      I'm not sure. It might be some sort of horn that has been used for years in the industry. Like a recognised piece of equipment that you had to have if you are in his business of bringing down chimneys. Or, perhaps it was just something that Fred had laying around in his workshed and he started to use.

    • @donnaali4829
      @donnaali4829 2 роки тому +1

      It’s a bulb horn.
