Can't really tell who you are talking about. The only argument for travel or no travel from Cel is THAT'S LEGAL! The rules say once your pivot foot has been established you may jump off that pivot foot but the ball has to be released before either foot his the ground. Clearly, TJ jumped off the pivot and landed on the other foot before the ball is released and that's a travel. All NBA players and examples will have the pivot foot and the step through foot both on the ground before the final jump or in most NBA cases, close enough.

LOTS of people are taught that on step-through specifically, you have to jump off BOTH feet at same time. If pivot comes up while the 2nd foot is down and used to stride forward, it's called travel. Refs will call that a lot in highschool and college. Of course NBA let's stars do it all day long. It's not a question of skill either. Anyone with basic bball skills can do that, and if you're allowed to do that with such a long stride on 2nd foot then everyone would SCORE every time on that. slow down and watch college ball. you do NOT actually see it in officiated NCAA games. THey step through onto 2nd foot then JUMP off BOTH feet. So there is FAR LESS advantage.
