@@manukumarsmanukumars5384 if your long term plan is to get Assistant Professor job in India then CSIR NET is a must. Although you can get into PhD using GATE but later you have to qualify CSIR NET to apply for jobs. GATE can give you opportunity to do PhD in premier institutions of India and a good institute with better infrastructure. So best is to qualify GATE and get into a Premier institute and then try to qualify NET.
