I’ve had a cotyledon pendens for almost 2 years. It came to me very small, similar to the small one you showed. It has grown well, but it has a few bare spots so I wanted to propagate it and found your video. I live in a colder climate (we get snowy winters) so it’s grown indoors for 7-8 months a year. I supplement with a grow light and it seems ok. It does lose a lot of leaves anytime it’s touched. It’s also lost any coloring, no farina and no colored tips. What am I doing wrong?

In my opinion, i'd say it may be like that because of the life indoors during winter. It's a great achievement that you've kept it growing in your climate but, i'm not sure if there is much more you can do. A different grow light could make a difference- full spectrum, white light that is 4000-6000 Kelvin & about 400-800 lumens could get it a bit more colourful. I'll see if i can do a bit more research and make a video on this in the next month or so. But generally, i've only had this problem (no farina and very touchy leaves) due to insufficient light.. I once had to move a few pendens from under 30% shade to 50%(i ran out of space in 30% greenhouse) and they were very quick to lose colour, grow stretched and produce much less farina.

@@SucculentGrowingTips I suspected that may be the problem. I have 2 different types of grow lights, one is a warmer glow and the other is a daylight bulb. I moved it from the warm bulb to the daylight and let’s see what happens. Thank you SO much for responding.

My plant is losing leaves! Will over watering and shade cause this? It has been extremely hot here 107+ , so I'm trying to help , but i think im doing more harm than good.😢

They have such cute red margins. I have two root bound pots, i kept them root bound thinking it wld get them to flower but no such luck yet. Thank you for the propagation tips and i shall try to
    Implement them.

The margins are so beautiful- i keep some of them rootbound too, just because of the margins. My anecdotal experience is that more root-space they have, more flowers come up but, on the downside, the margins do turn very pale. The flowers are worth it though 🏵 Fingers crossed yours will bloom soon 🤞🤞🤞

Ohh I so love the flower- it reminds me of a little garden ornament windmill wheel. I keep spinning it between my fingers like a little kid 🤣 Congrats on the 1st fuzzy succie 😀 👍 My favourite of the moment is Kalanchoe snow white panda- so soft to touch 🤍
