I’ve never felt more optimistic for a season tbh. Last time was rebuild, this time we should hit the ground running with some quality additions to the squad, I also think the league won’t be quite as strong this time. Play offs minimum I reckon
I think looking across the division currently it's burnley Leeds Coventry Sheffield unt depending on if they keep there main center back and hamer then it's a mix up of Luton potentially Middlesbrough or Norwich.
Leeds fan. I hear your fears but even i the biggest pessimist cannot see us selling gray, Summerville gnonto and Rutter in one window. It would be the stupidest thing we have ever done. And we sold cantona for 1m.
As a blade, i think we will finish the top 6 as a minimum this season, but we need to be on point all season to make the top 2. I dont think leeds will go up or burnley, i think it'll be luton 1st, Blades 2nd, coventry 3rd (playoff winner) burnley 4th, leeds 5th, Middlesbrough 6th

Lots of rumors and interest but thankfully if our players are wanted with longer contracts so big money for the club.we have improved and as a club we fancy ourselves for at least into the playoffs.but we've proved we have started building our squad in depth.

Sunderland 6th?! Listening to this series I was sure you'd say Sunderland next, but the name never came, I was convinced I'd missed us at one point. As a fan I wish I shared your optimism but I just can't see it. I hope regie the cheese gets a tune out of these players but I've been a Sunderland fan for too long to lift my hopes up off the floor. Hopefully our kids have had enough experience now we can bring in some consistency which is what we massively lack, just hope its not consistently getting beat.
I think you’re being really pessimistic, you have to remember who took us down to 16th last season, not Mowbray but Dodds and Beale, two horrendous head coaches. We have the most exciting youth squad in the country, add Mendy to that and I really don’t think we’re far off from that prediction
As a sunderland fan listening to the other podcasts and still no Sunderland till 8th plus it had me thinking is it something we can do if JC is with us and a Striker Top 10 is likely i just hope our Fans support Le Bris all the way till the end aswell as the Owners we dont want a new manager come jan/feb stick with him for the full season.
Simply too close to call for the two automatic places between Leeds Utd, Coventry City & Luton Town. Joining them three: Burnley, Middlesbrough & Sheffield United.
Luton and Sheffield Utd are very stronger. Leeds will be top 6 with their great. Sunderland have the best fans in the league but there’s more to it than fan base. Blackburn in with a shout!
Sunderland squad is talented but also too young. Last season they crumbled at times bc of that inconsistency of young players. Alan Browne at 29 might be just what they needed in the midfield. They should pinch Sargent from Norwich with some of the money they'll get from selling Clarke, and just pray he stays fit.
Sunderland collapsed at the end of last season, have made little investment in the summer . Yes they are a big club but that means nothing on the pitch people are only predicting them for play offs because of the size of the club but only 2 seasons ago they were in league 1. Size isn`t important as I keep telling my wife!!
Leeds have a real chance - especially with their fan base. But it’s not all about the fans. Sunderland are probably the best fans but I can’t see them making top 6. Luton only get 12,000 but I think will win the league!
