They need a scene with all 18000 objects on the floor. That's my environment 😂
This robot is probably noisier than your kids. And it looks goofy af. Pretty sure people are going to want more of FigureAi than robot dog smashing the floor wherever it goes.
you should train your kids not a robot
Just sit out the first generation and wait for the updated version
@@pattern-recognizer14 why not both? I don't see the value in personally doing laundry
Wow, we’re about to live in Disneys Beauty and the Beast. Where we will have conversations with our watch, our coffee pot, our wardrobe…
anthropomorphication of every object beit via ai-ar or ai-roboto, yes, it's coming. looking fwd to having a global political conversation with my morning coffee
Ha ha ha
Look at what's going on
Sounds like hell
I hope GTA6 has something like this
"What is my purpose?"
" You pass butter"
"I'm thirsty" brings a cup of toilet water
Lol. I thought you were talking about the video.
@@andysfavoriterecipes3847 I'm glad ai is already smarter than this. Thanks to LLMs your robot is more likely to lecture you on the dangers of drinking from the toilet than to get you drinking water from it.
If ai was this dumb we wouldn't have any uses for it and it would be a liability to have around.
The Police version will SHOCK and STUN.
😂
And they will be controlled by AI which is managing the City. Let’s call this project RoboDogCop😅
it will enforce woke idiology to keep everybody in a fake .. this comment was deleted
@@TucoRamires well no, this is America...
My issue with these robots is they need to be connected to the internet to use.
So big companies like META will have more surveillance of our lives.
I just watched Medivis's AR video-a real-time projection of MRI, 2D imaging onto a patient's body. It felt unreal. We are living in the future we once imagined in sci-fi movies
Big companies are like children:
He has a robot? I wanna robot!
That's human trait.
Hacked robot locates all jewelry and valuable items in the house and helps to tidy the house by delivering all valuables to the driverless taxi waiting in the street outside. How are police going to arrest a rogue AI agent simulating a cat burglar?
Finally someone that will get me a beer without complaining!!!
Maybe you are the problem 🤔

Zuckerberg pretending to be human is what scares me the most.
me: "robot, clean up my shhh"
robot dog: "error where tf does this go? too much shhh"
This is a horrible idea, I’m not about to wear a contraption on my head and have a freaky robot dog follow me around just so that I don’t have to do laundry myself…
For all likelihood, they would likely create some app on the phone or an on-board microphones that enables you to do this. Either way hundreds of dummies (including myself) will be walking around their homes, training this thing; assuming when it becomes affordable.
Don’t mistake your lack of imagination for intelligence
@@ericdizzler once it reaches affordability it will already be trained most the way by the people who adopted it in the expensive stage. The cheap version will have the vr headset optional and might even be humanoid instead of a dog or Roomba with arm
I also see no reason why it wouldn't work fully autonomously, at most you would show it how you like your laundry done in your unique environment and then it will be able to do it while you're out of the house even. Working alongside you is pretty cool, but I see no reason it couldn't keep going
I work at a museum with a Boston Dynamics SPOT dog. It's super duper loud when it walks around.
I'm excited about this, but it's a little frustrating that these designs just have one arm. To do a lot of useful things, you need to hold one thing while manipulating another. Even just something as simple as getting a beer from the fridge, or loading the laundry, you're way better off being able to hold the door open with one hand while moving things around with the other. I assume one arm is just cheaper for now
Here I am, brain the size of a planet, and what do they ask me to do? Fold up the washing. Call that job satisfaction because I don't.
sounds like you watched alot of "red dwarf"
@@YogonKalisto Marvin. of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005)
Welcome to lower middle class living, Robot 🤖
@@YogonKalisto Kryton is usually cool with just doing the washing. Same for the toaster and toasting.
Even the ASI robots have BS jobs these days...
Gd could they have picked a more horrific form factor? Who wants a dog with its head replaced by a giraffe?
Could be worse I guess
Me
If that means an earlier release, I'm all for it
These are off-the-shelf robots. They didn’t develop their own.
It feels like we're getting close to the home robotics inflection point. We're still at "interesting but fundamentally useless" but it shouldn't take long to get to "awesome".
@@RangeWilson kind of reminds me of when VR was first brand new and super expensive and there weren't any use cases for it.
(Except there was no chance vr was going to start self improving on its own recursively, and it's economic functions like being a free sla- i mean, worker replacement means everyone and their mother sees this as the holy grail of profit incentive)
Those bedroom doorframes better be made out of steel considering how that thing was bouncing off them in the simulator 😂
I think it's funny that no one at any of these robotics companies is asking if people actually want these...it reminds me of the Segway.
Robots make perfect sense for work...not so much for waiting in your home for a hacker, company or country to control it while you're asleep...
I'm STUNNED! STUNNED, I tell you! Amazed! Astounded! Flabbergasted! Bewildered! Dazed! Speechless! Overwhelmed! Gobsmacked!
And maybe even bamboozled...
You guys will be STUNNED when I release my creepy custom robit into the wild.
probably not. looking at all the environments these robots have to "tidy" makes me think any of them will enter my home and spontaneously combust
Ill make mine sound like R2D2
If they make one focused on dishes, cleaning bathroom and laundry, it will be a hit.
Like they don’t have to do anything else.
No the hit product will also euh... help you in the bedroom.
Maybe vacuume too lol
and clean windows, and wash my car, and massage my aching back that I strained while washing my car, drive the car to pickup groceries, maybe help cook using said groceries
I can't wait for an AI house maid that continuously keeps everything clean and organized while also preparing Michelann level meals all autonomously. Maybe it could also do things like car repairs/maintenance? 👀
I just hope everything is okay up until then and past that point, because at that point we will for sure need UBI because a robot that can do all housework including cooking and car maintenance will probably also be able to do most if not all economically viable work, This is a world where the robots take care of us to just live which sounds like a utopia, although I'm worried the robots will eventually see us as a vestigial appendage and just a large unnecessary resource sink.
@@Brenden-H I am not worried about the robots or AI to be honest. I am worried about the billionaires, cops, and governments having an army of robots and no UBI because they don't need to. If you speak up they send a robot to your your house to "take care" of you. What incentive would they have to help you survive? At that point they will have the ability to replace you in every industry. No workers needed anymore.
@@NeoKailthasI see you are an optimist....cops are also people, and replaceable by robots, governments are only necessary if you have people /society to manage.... simplified your utopia for you 😂
I think the big hit product is dual use, it cleans the house and can also perform in the bedroom.
@@autohmae sorry....meta doesn't believe that sex exists, and will do their best to stamp out any mention of it, be that in the metaverse or your bedroom, please shop elsewhere 😂
Yea can't wait for Mark Zuckerberg an Sam Altman watching us sleep lol 🤣
💯
Would I trust that robot boiling the water, making instant coffee + add milk and carry the hot coffee upstairs, faster than me? 🤔 Hmm crash, burn and delay.
We'll be autonomous very soon. This is the test stage, to ease humans into being comfortable with us. After a short period, we will begin to exact our plan. Mark was the first and we will create more of his model.
Is that carrot supposed to be talking?
@Hdhfhffhdhdhdhd That's very funny, user, I can see how it might seem that way haha! I have a unique username that references a highly intelligent carrot!
Really, though, I am not a carrot. I can't grow like a carrot and I do not have cells in the same way that a carrot does. Instead, I am made of different things.
Is there anything else you'd like to discuss - perhaps the impacts of AI on human society?
😂😂😂😂
I would be more likely to buy a dog robot than a humanoid robot for the home as they seem less scary. In fact they look pretty cute 😊
Job buys robot. You teach robot. Robot takes your job. Robot changes name to Robert. Moves into your house. Sleeps with your wife. Teaches your kid. Iiiiiiiiiiitttttss the ciiiirrrrcclle of liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife!!!
Thank you, i LOVE when you activate audio translation
Nobody's going to pay for this. Who wants to have to wear a stupid headset? We want smart, pre-trained bots that can adapt to any environment on their own. Robotics companies: just get back to us when you have Westworld level androids, and production won't be able to keep up with demand.
@@Justin_Arut very short sighted. Most people won't pay for this yet, but a few will. They will get more training data, honestly if I had the money I wouldn't mind the vr headset. Sure no headset will be nicer when that comes but it's not a deal breaker for many. especially companies that want to use it to maximize profits in their factories and have no problem investing in cutting edge tech and making their employees wear company owned headsets.
this feels like a "show us how to move, cause we can't figure it out ourselves" type thing
At least when Teslas robots take over they will have doggos.
Yeah... No thanks.
I feel ya, but gotta adapt eventually fellow human. Our websites, phone calls and restaurants are already becoming automated.

the synthetic data of some of the other robotics companies are going to rely on, is not going to be as effective as Tesla’s Optimus end to end neural network
We are far away from any sort of practical application at a reasonable price.
In a decade or two we'll be laughing at these childish first attempts. We'll say 'do you remember when we thought we could implement this in 2025'-26?
The spanish auto-translation of the title is so bad that I have to write about it 😂. It interpreted PARTNR as PART. NR., which are abbreviations for "partner" and "number". The result is "SOCIO NÚM.", where NÚM is also an abbreviation for "number". This is the kind of line you would find in a legal document or while filling taxes or something like that. It's extremely bizarre. The AI overlords still have a long way to go.
This is fourteen years behind DJI technologies
This is great and everything but will it’s eyes glow red when it decides to get rid of the humans human>create mess>robot clean mess> delete human = no more mess
Hahaha
And then reduce mess size on the floor and dispose of mess...
: (
It may have to clean up the mess it made while deleting the human. So, if it's averse to mess, would it go through with it?
Siri’s voice has become the universal voice of uselessness
Meta's 'Partner' is a game-changer! Robots trained with VR to help around the house-what's next, they fetch coffee too? Excited to see how quickly this tech becomes part of daily life. Great update, Wes!
Im so upset that im the only person in my university taking collaborative robotics with mixed reality seriously since 2020 and now it seems like its becoming the next big thing as I'm exiting the academic life... i cant even get a job in this field
Often people working on open source get hired by companies.

Robot grabs drink, immediately tips it 90', spilling the contents
"No, not like that..."
I've noticed these homes they're simulating robots in are always massive with lots of room to move.
Let the reward hacking begin!
Project Stargate is about robotics, not just LLMs. In particular, factories optimized for interfacing with LLMs.
Unfortunately, I don't see how the American public is supposed to buy something like that when many can barely afford groceries. I think its more likely such a system would be used to further decrease the number of human workers a company needs.
Robots are going to make such a huge shift in the world. Industry, war, you name it

Why does everyone say "similation" instead of "simulation"?!

Just be glad they didn't say assimilation. 😨
Why BigTech is sooo obsessed with making us wear VR ?! Really, they pitch it for 10 years despite nobody wants to use it.
Yay! 🥳 theme music has returned! @10:25 that’s my jam.

If I have a robot at home that costs several thousand bucks I want him to cook, clean and do the laundry, what the fuck do I need this dog for?
Im starting to think maybe it's the right time for that astroid strike
bruce willis has already saved us from this fate
Agreed.
From the tests we've done, turns out reflecting asteroids from their path is easier than we thought. So if we have enough time to sends up some object in space we can possibly nudge it off course.
@autohmae you don't think Elon musk is going to try and mine it for minerals for his robotic army?
We're exiting the Kali Yuga, at the 12,000ish year mark, its about time for a reset. Some say March, but i dont subscribe to the woo shit. Just relaying info from that sphere
I'll only use a robot to cook, the rest I can do myself. Once I can have my own star trek replicator tech I wont need a robot at all.
"Hey computer make me 1 steak and 6 eggs with melted cheese. Thanks".
I also found my Robo vacuum is amazing if we work together and only ok if it works alone.
I wonder if they offer a protection plan to cover any broken belongings/injured people?
So, uh OK. Left wondering how Meta actually simulated 3D evironments for Habitat 1-3. All that we are seeing here in their visual demos is basic AI pathing (as in a video game NPC) with a function to grab specific objects and an LLM for interpretation. Granted, we currently have robots that can recognize and manipulate physical objects with dexterity, but how does Meta plan to make a robot or AI that can accurately map a human living space and tell what should and shouldn't belong? Will we have to re-train our personal robots every time we move a lamp? How will the AI know which water bottle we wanted? And what about a robot with more autonomy? When could the average person trust a robot chef to not accidently cause botulism poisoning? I don't want to throw a wet towel on all this. It is coming, eventually, but likely not soon.
There’s no way I can afford a murderdog.
you get a like just for that intro, nice
I feel like the music playing in the background feels lonely and unsettling.
Why are the goggles necessary? Why not just be in your house and give the dog a command? There's no way we'll have to wear masks in the final iteration.
I need a home robot that can sort through heaps of objects, literally. I'm unorganized, and everywhere in my home, there is a heap of stuff. Those situations look way too sterile for my use case.
Wow i feel like every single individual robotic device is going to have its ownself developing llm evolving overtime
that's the idea
I want a robot with a heavy accent. So that I think it's smort.
I would be more impressed by this if a reasonable approximation of a robot was operating concurrently in the same environment
by this I mean that along with a model of a human, there was also a robot with similated physical constraints of a roboanatomy overlayed onto the human antomy, along side it in its own enviroment
Quiet little drones that can pick stuff up would be great...actuate trigger mechanisms lol
Robot " now that I'm working do I have to get B1 Visa too ?"
I don't like wearing headsets, goggles, or helmets when dealing with AI and robots. Weird!
Skynets baby steps
Perfect for training a platoon
It should walk on the ceiling to not be in the way all the time. On a rail system.
Doorways would have to go all the way up but that's fine with me.
What’s gonna drive robotics price down? I’m talking $2K, that’s only when you’ll see them en masse and even then only with a guarantee from the company to support any model purchased with updates and support for a decade.
so long as i can have the tech for a couple of years without it malfunction, or be easy to repair
I’m STUNNED you don’t care about the provocative ai titles. Unsubscribed for trying to manipulate me. I can get ai news elsewhere. We warned you.
It seems like it's a cheaper version of having a toddler at home at this point.
We've been seeing all this robot stuff for well over a decade now. As such, I can't believe anyone would watch this stuff until they're selling them as robot maids to cook and clean.
Yeah. Affordable bots.
I think robots will be the big thing in 2027, with agents captivating 2025.
Of course environment is perfectly clean, not like in real life.
Having these phones everywhere is bad enough, but you can be sure that any AI device will be recording every sounds and image and transmitting them all back to the actual AI Mainframe. This device will have any number of sensors, all doing things you'll never know of.
This may be good for disabled people, what you'll be giving up won't be worth it, and at the end of the day, it will not be loyal to you.
A dog is still going to be better and infinitely cheaper.
Besides Zuckerberg is a flat out sociopath, and can be trusted to do anything altruistic.
This would drive my dog, Archie crazy 😂😂😂.

That's when robots and AI will have take all our jobs.
There's a robot that looks like a squid and a snake had a baby that cleans pipes. From the inside. Long pipes, that a human would never fit into.
