Such a beautiful drive. We drove it when we were on vacation. Started in Vegas then hit Valley of Fire, Zion, Cedar Breaks, Colob Canyon, Grand Canyon, Sedona then flying out of Phoenix.
I drove this in July of 2022. One of the most beautiful places I have been to. I live in Tennessee. I live 20 miles from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Love that place also.
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been trying to decide if this drive is worth it. Friends from Germany are coming to the US for the first time, and I'm working on an itinerary for hiking, etc. We'll be in the Superstitions (I live at the base), Sedona, Page, Zion, Bryce, and the GC. Actually scored a permit for the Wave on my first try. Your videos, and your husband's, are an immeasurable help in planning their extended visit.
This is a nice drive. Main issue with it is getting stuck behind tourists (often from other countries) who have no experience driving on mountain roads and are terrified of going more than 15mph.

There are several beautiful national parks in Utah and they all have there own beauty, but Zion is one of the top ones
Took 89A from sedona to Flagstaff yesterday.....it's a close 2nd! T.C.

That Mt. Carmel tunnel is a dark and spooky one.

Bryce canyon is far better IMO.
