- Hey everyone!
Not many more monsters I feel capable of hunting anymore, but definitely wanted to give Rajang a try. There's still some moves I can't properly read and understand fully, but I think I've got the hang of it for the most part.

This was a really sick speedrun. I thought I had valor longsword down but you have shown me a new light. Also, do you ever plan on speedrunning deadeye?
Thanks 😊 yeah the more you retry the more you’ll figure out haha and deadeye might actually be a deviant i could try - if so then probably with great sword.
@@huntersdomain3479 Yeah deadeye is really weak to valor great sword. But hammer and HH are also some good choices.

I don't know if you're still making videos, but I learned so much from this video! If you are still making videos, I would love for some frame by frame breakdowns. Not a ton of people are doing it on UA-cam, in fact I can hardly find any. But it's really helpful, especially for people like me that are learning a new weapon. I've always been an insect glaive main, and so I am finally branching out and trying to weapons, but I don't know where the best resources are aside from regular weapon tutorials. Advance tips, like when do Valor Sheath vs Valor LS gaurdpoint parry would be really cool to see.
appreciate your feedback! Yeah we have moved on to MH Rise, at least for the time being. So a return to GU is uncertain. I myself haven’t taken an in-depth approach with dissecting frames that way, but I agree with you that it’s a very helpful way to learning a monsters move patterns and hitboxes better.
Best I can advise is really look at as many different runs for a particular monster you are interested in and then try and replicate a few things step by step. That’s for the most part how I learned 😅
Rainy has a very good run against the furious rajang event quest, which I think showcases a good amount of openings and exact range of some of the hitboxes.

@@gamegeekofficial_ damn very committed 😆👌 - i used to be an IG main back in 4U and started branching out in gen and GU. The variety of hunting styles helps adjust to different weapons quite a lot. If for example you really want to look into valor long sword. I’d definitely recommend practicing with monsters that are aggressive. Maybe to start Rathian and when you feel a bit more comfortable with the guard point try out Glavenus, Astalos and Nargacuga

@@huntersdomain3479 I’d probably use GS, I dunno how to fight him with SA. I could use silverwind armor with striker SA but there not much skill in that 😂

Valor style seems so aggressive because you can just stop the attacks with a parry. I love it, switching immediately to learn it.

Thanks, yeah the guard point is extremely useful against so many different monsters. Just keep practicing and you’ll improve 👍 I think to get through village with long sword the nargacuga one is very useful since it has high affinity and with razor sharp can probably stay in purple and white sharpness for a good amount of time

Re watched the run and i came to the realization that i have the exact same talisman as you: Dragon, Sharpness 2, Expert 10 and 3 slots. The Melder spit it out a few weeks ago on my 2nd char xD

1:09 how can you counter without unsheating your sword first?
R+X+A. Can unsheathe a weapon and do R moves when weapon is sheathed like longbow instant charge, chargeblade axe morph, sending kinsect out on insect glaive etc.
Gosh 🥵🥵 that's incredibile, I just start to use long sword with valor style and I love it, but I have a little bit difficult with parry at the moment 🤧
thanks 😊 and don’t worry, it takes time to get used to the guardpoint of the parry and also important to learn the monsters attacks and when they would usually hit. just keep practicing 👍
such a clean parry. i know its an old video, but can you tell me the reason why you sheath the weapon instead keep it unsheathed while approaching the monster? thank you
Hey there sorry for the late reply, I was on hiatus for a while.
So it comes down to how I anticipate the monsters moves. I could have left it unsheathed, but especially when Rajang is a good distance away from my reach, it can result in him having too much space to jump around, making me chase after him while the sword is drawn. Or I am forced to counter moves like his beam that would waste spirit gauge without actually connecting a hit. Had I been closer to him in those instances I would not have sheathed :)

alguien que me diga como hace el counter cuando el mostruo le pega,llevo un rato usando la espada larga con el estilo valor y nunca lo he visto
Es sencillo, el parry se realiza justo en el momento q te golpea (tiene q ser de frente) y tienes q tener la barra de valor llena y la barra espiritual si está llena mejor. Es difícil conseguirlo pero con práctica se consigue.
Y para hacer el counter/parry hay q pulsar R1. Se me olvidó este detalle :')

10 expert 4 tenderize OOO Charm D:
No it's just an expert 10 charm with OOO slots and i fit in a tenderizer decoration to get me 4 points :) you can make the same build with other charms as well, such as a tenderizer 4 or 5 OOO, alternatively even an expert 8 OOO or expert 9 OO- will work
Wow I’m nowhere near that skilled with the long sword but my best ice element weapon is a long sword. Also I fing hate Rajang.

Valor Long Sword Is one of the best thing In Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate... (which Is also a bad game-breaking mechanic, ngl xD)
