I don’t know why I’m so emotional but hearing about lesbians growing old together makes me so incredibly happy. I’ve never met let alone seen elderly gay couples so it just makes me really happy to see that you can have that love. It gives me hope for my future.

I'll raise a glass to that! Hear, hear!!
My best buddy in boot camp was gay. When we both got posted to Galveston, TX, he wound up on a buoy tender, and I ended up in SAR. I hit the gay bars with .him a few times. Always had a blast! When a couple ladies asked me to dance, and I politely declined, they were cool. There wasn't any 'let's harass the straight chick's BS.
Now in my later 50's, two divorces behind me, and single for over 20 years, I'm beginning to wonder.✌🏻😸

I kind of wonder about Marsha. In interviews at the time (and after), he said he was just a crossdresser and didn't consider himself a woman. But I wonder if that was a relic of the time or how he or she actually felt. Interesting to think about. Nowadays we don't want to silence a trans voice OR silence a gay voice. And we just don't know.
