TIFFA Scan || Level-2 Test for Pregnant Women

Today we Discuss about TIFFA Scan
A TIFFA Scan (Targeted Imaging For Fetal Anomalies) Scan is popularly known as Fetal Anomaly Scan. It is one of the most important scans conducted during pregnancy because it detects any congenital abnormalities in the growing fetus. This scan is done between 18 - 22 weeks of pregnancy. In this scan, the baby is screened from head to toe to look for abnormalities. It can be a 3-dimensional or 4-dimensional scan (3D or 4D scan).
Some of the important things a TIFFA scan can tell us are:
Whether the internal organs of the fetus are growing normally.
Monitor the fetal movement.
Detect any birth defects.
Check the level of amniotic fluid.
Any indications of chromosomal abnormalities.
Check the position of the placenta.

Except that every thing is normal in tiffa reports.Actually our doctor suggested us tiffa in 25 week sir . MTP is permissible only till 20 weeks in India. But it may be allowed beyond it in certain scenarios. First let us hope for a normal NIPT result. Otherwise, you should consult at a higher tertiary care setup for further management.

in tiffa scan choroid plexus cysts and bilateral mild prominence renal pelvis are present. lateral ventricle at the level of atrium measures 3.8mm is mentioned. i am 20 weeks pregnant. i am so worried. i got nt scan and dual markers normal. doctor said to do scan at 24 weeks again. is it any serious problem? please help me

These are minor issues only. Yes get a repeat scan done as per your doctor's advise. No need to worry just stay positive, healthy and happy.
