Note: This is not a planned incident any many are commenting, we keep camera setup early in morning and we only take back camera at evening. No one will be present near the nest.

Survival percent of bird eggs turning to fledging bird is only around 20-30%.
Do understand this how the nature works...
One can not blame the snake for eating its food, if we do so then we humans should blame ourselves for eating meat, destroying forest for growing food, and finally for eating our own food, as because the process of producing food kills hundreds of species...

The thing is they left that camera there. No one was there to stop the snake. Even if someone did stop te snake from eating the birds, that will be like fighting against the nature's balance. Remember predatory animals are going extinct than the herbivores.

A few weeks ago I was working at home when suddenly a bird started screaming in the backyard.
It was ten times louder than this and I could clearly feel the panic in her voice. I thought they were fighting or something but when I ran out to the balcony I could see a magpie eating her babies on the ground. I'll never forget that sound.

This is a little tough to watch of course but the snake is just following its instinct because it needs to eat too or it will starve to death. This is nature's way of learning too. When the birds learn that putting their nests in a location like this leaves their young exposed, they will start to place them in better areas over time so that this doesn't happen as often.

They can't defend themselves when they're alone, but together they can scare them away. They protect one another. I just love watching them doing it.

This is so cool. Watching the mother bird feed and take care of her babies. Then along comes a snake and mercesillely takes and eats them one by one. The first one wakes once it's inside the snake's mouth and realizes the danger and starts crying, as if its' saying "No, no. Mommie, mommie, help. Don't eat me," flapping its wing in an attempt to escape, all to no avail and the snakes chews and swallows the poor defenseless bird alive.The second doesn't realize what's happening at first. It has a look like, "hey, what's going on here?" before it too is eaten. The last one is eaten tail first, it's beak crying as it's body disappears into the snake as if saying "help me, help me, help me" and then silence. This is so cool.

It appears no one was listening to the incredible cries of stress, anger, and frustration by the fledglings' parents. I wonder if humans think we're the only beings on earth that "FEEL"? It's no wonder birds don't live longer lives. One can't imagine, on a human scale, how terrifying and sorrowful this must be for a parent of a child in the wild, natural world.
