It has to build back up to that level of intensity otherwise it won’t hit the same. Basically, think of this as more similar to the early days of L’manberg, before the election and maybe even before the first war. They’re half setting the scene for future events and half giving us mini lore that might tie in later but also might not. If they rush into it it’ll be just that: rushed.

It was hard to read his expression, but Philza watched his browbones pitch upwards, and he knew that he had surprised the warden. A silence settles as the two hold their weapons. Sam breaks the silence. "Why are there so many *crows*?" He asks, bewilderment settling on his face, Philza immediately huffs, "They're my children!" He declares, and the creepy hybrid stares at him.
