Their live performance versions are always rawer than in the albuns, always. The "too pop" crowd should take a chill pill. Besides, if we hear their "pop" sonhs in only the instrumental version then you know there is nothing soft about them ar all.
People might feel it poppy because there so much going in the new songs that are completely based on the production and computer equipment. Songs like HYCAD and Automated Sun are going to sound very different if the backing tracks for some reason fails live. Like someone pointed out et even looks like Ale are just pretending to sing backing vocals in this video.

georgeosigli8192 your aware that the band have kind of always supported fan cams, since it's basically free marketing. The more stuff and comments posted online, the bigger chance for new people hearing about the band. Marketing 101 is trying get as many people as possible recognize your brand name or product. That's what the record labels marketing people also do, try to get TW mentioned in as many medias as possible, as many times as possible.
Going back to 21 Century Blood, they always played a song live first. They couldn't with Error because of covid. It all part of what they do and have done
I can hardly wait to hear the complete studio version! I feel like TW are expanding their styles. I can imagine a collaboration with St. Vincent in the future.
My only complaint is there is a ton of the vocals being played on a track and not live , it’s very obvious All the harmonies ones are track and. It actually being sung , they are pretending and Ale goes to the mic and starts pretending to sing before the harmony even starts and pulls away from the mic when the harmonies are still going , and a lot of Danys singing is track and not really live ,
Yep, it's just too much. This is the first live performance, looks like they are concentrating on just getting through it so hopefully Ale and Pau will step up and the backing tracks will be pulled down some. Leave all that studio stuff for the OMV release. Coll song tho.
La voz principal es toda de dany em vivo. Las armonís de damy son pregrabadas y los coros que hace ale no son armonias, son refuerzos. Reslmente no están fingiendo, solo tienen demasiados vocal chops porque ale y pau no pueden cantar una octava por encims de dany xd
you might want to watch and listen a few times... the backing track is all Dany vocals ... Dany has 2 tracks going one live and one support vocals on the backing track. Ale is not pretending to sing what is on the backing track, she has backing vocals live. do you think if Ale was pretending to sing she would leave the mic before the so called pretend vocals were done, she leaves the mic because what she went to the mic to sing was done and she is not pretending to be doing the vocals on the backing track. I would also prefer less backing track vocals but it is what it is... maybe the reason Dany has a backing track of her own voice going to go with what she is singing live is because they found that was the way it sounded best... it would be nice if Ale and or Pau did them live but maybe they can't. As much as everyone likes to say that Pau or Ale can cover for Dany's vocals if she is not feeling well, they can only cover up to a point, they don't have her range.
