the link between the dark and the sleeping pills is so interesting. we can see that when the light switches off, mingyu’s other identity comes out and kills. and when it’s back on, he’s mingyu again. this happens throughout the entire episode but it’s more prevalent at the end. when minghao is gone, the light turns on and mingyu is confused because he’s the only one left. the light turns off again, and he’s dead because he killed himself as his other identity. so when it’s dark, he’s his other identity. which is where the sleeping pills come into play. at first I assumed the pills were just because he was traumatised from his abuse and his fathers death (nightmares maybe?), but since the dark is relevant, then it seems to me that he perhaps got the sleeping pills so that he forces himself to sleep at night, when it’s dark, rather than stay awake during the night when his other identity is out for blood. mingyu chose the pills, his other identity didn’t.
obviously this may not be true, since we don’t know if mingyu killed people when he wasn’t in the time frame of the bsk meeting, but hey.
Anyway! I always come back to rewatch this episode because the acting of all of them, and the constant state of confusion and suspense is so enthralling!! Hopefully bad clue continues for every season, I loved the recent bad clue so much too!

I honestly don't think he knew that his character was the culprit. He didn't purposefully act and try to hide something. He was genuinely surprised that the members died in the order that he wrote down, so I think he didn't remember the exact order he wrote down. He still suspected Minghao at the end and didn't seem completely sure of anything to me. Still, he fit the vibe and setting. It's always great to watch him figuring things out. 😅
Also, I believe the last "I killed you all" was cut from a few sentences where he probably explained everything to the members. It seems so torn out of a speech flow... 😅

I think Hoshi is really excelled in connecting the dots between scrambled clues and he also excelled in reading face expression (maybe related also with him being perfo leader), like in mafia game.
For me, Hoshi is criminally underrated as smart person. Yes he is not as fast as mingyu and jeonghan when it comes to calculative things, but actually he is very smart.
Also, the other one who's underrated is woozi. Because he is more of a quiet type so it's a little bit overshadowed, but when times come like in Surprise Don't Lie, he can rise into the occasion, like in part 1 of this episode also..
He always says that he's always bored when there's a mindgame content. But at the end, he's mostly guess the correct answer behind it.

Explanation for the end !!!
When mingyu is first left by himself there's still a statue for him on the table -> then the lights go off at 21:52 - > the statue is then gone meaning Park Mingyu's identity was already killed off (or suppressed) -> 22:05 the identity left is that of Park Joongi, the father, he is quiet and just stares forward (mingyu's acting is rly good here) -> the lights turn off for the second time and this time mingyu's body has gone, meaning park joongi killed himself, as mingyu had witnessed as a child in 2005. His father's death was probably the traumatic incident that led to his development of DID, and also why he created a personality of his father's without even knowing.
Going Seventeen is always so good, they're really pushing the standards for content so high, honestly the members and the staff/editors always do such an amazing job.

Mingyu Is not the culprit, Because He suffers from " dissociative identity disorder" and one of his personality's is his fathers. His fathers personality was writing those letter and killing everyone His fathers, personality calls himself "Park Joongki", Mingyu is not aware he has his fathers personality's that is why he did not know he was the culprit, At the end Mingyu disappears why? Because His fathers personality takes over completely and kills mingyu. If you still do not understand " Park joongki Aka His father Lives In mingyus body, At the end one statue was left that was mingyu's statue but when the lights turned off, the statue was gone, why? Because mingyu was killed by his personality Park Joongki and he toke over. And as you can see when the news came Park Joongki turned it off before sungkwan could finish, meaning he was watching the news.

Roles aside, it is evident that when they were questioning each other they are more confused since they are best friends and they should know when is the other telling lies. The expressions in there faces showed betrayal before the lights were turned off.

Ok so we all know who the killer is but it turns out the killer doesn't know that he is the killer, so my question is how the good guy will win, is there even a chance for them to win or the producer just wants the story to end like that
But still the Plot Twist is SOOOOOO EPIC, Seventeen never disappoints us
technically speaking there is no good guy among them ( except poor butler jun who really didn't know anything and detective woozi ) since they're all corrupt in someway since they've written the order down at the start there really is no chance for them to win and it was more about unfolding the story
there was no use of catching the culprit in the first place, even when they were able to guess that it was mingyu, it's no use because they'll still die according to the order he wrote. Wonwoo posted in weverse that this gose was not for them to find hints but to just get into the story and play their roles :)))
@@rdznd_zy year! if it was about winning they would have won from the first episode cuz these smartasses guessed it was Mingyu immediately after the letter and figured out the mental illness thing. this was just an opportunity for them to get into their acting roles probably (which was successful for the most part but towards the end they were all just scared lmao)

It's Mingyu, he has personality disorder that's why the killer didn't realize his self was the culprit. Bad clue as the title were made by the staff and writer because they really wanna set us up by made us to think so many meaningless clue that led us onto nothing.

It’s so crazy because Park mingyu didn’t know he was the one killing everyone because basically it was “Park Jun-ki” (I assume), which was one of his identities since Park Mingyu had D.I.D (Multiple identity disorder). Whereas you don’t remember what happened after having an episode of being a different identity.
So every time “Park Jun-ki” kills someone, Park Mingyu switches back and has no clue who died. AND in the last episode, one of the members said that someone is pretending to be Park Jun-ki, the dead father of Park Mingyu. DANG 😱

That was epic. I was genuinely scared at the last minutes and doubting everyone. Mingyu’s acting was great. At first, I didn’t get was going on. Then, Seungkwan said about the multiple disorder, that’s when it hit me. It was suspenseful. Loved it. At the end, when the Going Seventeen song played all cheerful and I was still shocked. 😅. Anyways loved it. 😌👌🏻
[SPOILER ALERT] The whole plot of bad clue is insane! I swear this exceeded my expectations??! All the theories that we made are now useless. Mingyu has DID so it makes sense how he didn’t remember anything especially during the killings / blackout scenes because it wasn’t him doing that. It was Park Joongi. At the end, Joongi erased mingyu’s personality by “killing himself” WOW JUST WOW 😳
