I don’t care how many features it has, that price is beyond a joke. I’m a huge fan of n gauge, and have a considerable collection and layout. But the price has pushed me into 00 gauge purely due to more bang for your buck and more second hand availability.
i remember when i was in my early teens i purchased a graham farish 3 car class 158 in the TPE dark red/purple scheme... shame the thing never worked properly!
Although I do HO Scale American trains. I wouldn't mind a model of one of these units as I have fond memories of them on the Thameslink services in London.
I was thinking of adding this to my shortlist of DMU but soon noticed that one of the cars looks like it's missing a pantograph so the overall look sorta threw me a bit. So instead, the Graham Farish 371-335 class 150 2 car DMU did make my shortlist 🙂
@@AmazeTase This is a brand new tooled model, so the investment that will have gone into this, will many £100,000s of pounds. People also forget that the numbers of models that manufacturers sell compared to other industries is relatively small. I also think you'll find Hornby are also charging a lot of locos and don't forget, you're getting a complete train for your money, not just a locomotive.
@@andrewcalladine2507 accurascale manage to do higher detail and lower prices than Bachmann - if accurascale made any Bachmann locos they’d be cost less and be better, for example their new 37… Bachmann really is a rip off

Almost 300 quid for n gauge class 769?!? That’s more expensive than bachmann s oo gauge range.
Can be reversed tho, N gauge pendolino cost me £300 for 9 car set... probably looking at 5/600 for a OO one

Did you ever make a video of building that layout?
thank you for another wonderful video

As a bi-mode, it’s pantograph is missing?

I just hope that Bachmann will point the grow-ray on them up to OO scale! More so the Northern Units 😆
Will bachmann make these in oo gauge?
Unlikely I'll ever be able to afford it, but I'd love one nonetheless. Time for a lottery ticket, perhaps!😉
Nice Model, interior lighting etc.
I really hope this is the start of more historic EMU’s being made! Definitely a gap in the market.
Can you get the class 170 South west trains and the class 70
the 170 uses old tooling and the class 70 has already been done
Priced around 200, I'd of got one, 349, not a chance!
Bachmann products are way overpriced sadly!

@@andrewcalladine2507 not true. Look at Accurascale, Cavalex, Revolution Trains….all way better quality models at considerably better prices!
Not my cup of tea N gauge but interesting all the same!
