I purchased the purple one and straight out of the box is the lowest action guitar I have ever seen and plays so damn good. It was bought to be my beater, to just leave in a guitar stand and not worry about knocking it about because you're not going to notice a scratch here or there on that body but man does it play and sound good. And the coil tap is one of the few that actually sounds like you've gone from a humbucker to a single coil. Very happy with my purchase!
The riff for position 3 was beautiful for the humbucker and coil tapped, it has that sound that just feels nice like you could fall asleep listening to it
I've always liked PRS guitars since i saw them as a teenager late 2000s. I've just always been too cheap to drop the money. I saw these come out and one in purple and i was sold. Finally decided to buy my first "big kid" guitar almost 20 years later and I'm stoked for it to come in!
Stunning playing, as aways in PRS demos - you showcase your guitars and amps superbly. 😎 This is a great finish! Maybe not for me as a 65-year old singer-songwriter(?)... but the younger me just says "Ohh Yeah!". 👍
I was fortunate to pick up a blue stained sample from the Sweetwater store in Fort Wayne. Thanks to my sales engineer Dominic for all of his help. Had a great trip!
Cool looking limited ed. PRS model. Sandblasted feature displays a unique vibe. Dynamic sonic configuration, with those 85/15 “S” pickups. Impressive. Will PRS ever make a line of high end limited Ed. Sandblasted custom shop models from the PRS factory in Maryland.
The one with the white ceruse finish blows my mind. I was considering since a while to make a guitar body in this finish by myself. Now PRS come up with that 🤯
I’ve got one of the older models, I do prefer the grain on this one being a bit deeper so the red looks a bit more crimson but I prefer that mine is all black all over, such pretty guitars
PRS Guitars Europe are pleased to announce SE Ltd Sand-Blasted Swamp Ash. Check out the video with Simon McBride putting the SE Custom 24 LTD Sand-Blasted Swamp Ash through its paces! This very striking limited run features a solid Swamp ash top in place of the regular model’s maple top and veneer. The solid Swamp Ash is sand-blasted and then grain filled to add colour (this great finish is borrowed with thanks from our Private Stock team!) The result is a stunning and unique look that enhances the natural beauty and very different grain patterns of Swamp Ash; no two of this limited run of only 750 pcs (Europe only) will be alike. The Sand Blasted Ltd is offered on 4 great models, SE Custom 24, SE Custom 22, SE Custom 24 Lefty, SE Custom 24 Floyd and great in 5 colours: Sand-blasted Frozen Charcoal, Sand-blasted Fire Red, Sand-blasted Indigo, Sand-blasted Yellow & Sand-blasted Emerald. Priced the same as the regular Maple SE Custom 24, these stunning guitars will be in stores by the beginning of October across Europe.
This might be the one for me, I’ve been looking for an upgrade from my 22 fret for a while now this would be the perfect upgrade and it won’t cost me my liver! \0/
What is the neck coating? When I tried one I couldn't feel if it was satin. It actually felt like there was no coating on the neck and it was straight wood.
I asked because the satin finishs I've tried on many other guitars did not have a bare wood feel. So it made question it. It could just be a very thin coating, or the satin that prs used is very different.
I think that I will sell My 24-08 Standard and buy thi guitar the mod it it to 24-08 status. I love the toggle switches and the options they provide. I will also sell my 1984 Aria Pro II to help offset the cost. I wonder If I send the guitar to PRS in MAryland, Will they do the mods for me? I'm 63 and do not trust my vision and soldering skills.
Gibson has one that looks like that called the Voodoo JuJu with the red and black whereas the regular Voodoo is black and red..the first color being the base color.. I had the Les Paul’s and the SG’s of each.. I tried to acquire the JuJu Explorer..too hard to put hands on one.. Fender also had a similar style of Sandblasted guitars too, not as good as these PRS SE ones…
That is a PRS I could actually consider buying...not so "pretty" that it looks like something that should only be hung on a wall. It actually looks pretty metal - and it is affordable.
Man, the coil split sounds on this are GREAT. They sound every bit as good as my ce semi that cost like 3 times as much lol EDIT: Daedric PRS…that just occurred to me.
I got the same geet. Was never too impressed with the split sounds (I think because the buckers are already pretty low output) but LOVE them full on. Seriously impressed with the 85/15
@@papa_pt The split middle isn’t my favorite…it seems to react best to a tubescreamery sound. What I dig are the tele and strat impressions. They aren’t 100% but they’re good enough that they sit nicely in a band mix. I don’t know what the difference between the American and SE CEs are sonically but I have to imagine they’re pretty similar…this doesn’t sound much different from mine
Trying too hard to be all things to all people. Meanwhile, they continue to ignore my pleas for an SE 24-08 and DGT in their most beautiful finish....Dark Cherryburst.
@@quantumpoptart Believe me, there are dirt particles that enters those crevices and you have no idea how the got there and to clean that and try to take out that thing is an absolute nightmare. And if you are a working player, and I mean, a real day-by-day working player without a technician to help you with the care of your equipment, you don't clean your guitars after each show, not even weekly.
$699 for a guitar that is functionally and sounds exactly the same as the $499 PRS SE CE24 Satin. All it is, is a different body finish, everything else is the same. Why even bother naming it a Swamp Ash when there is no middle pickup?
Yeah maybe but it sure does look good. If you are patient like I am you just wait 6 months to a year and like new preowned will start popping up for sell in the $500 range. 😉
The fact that it has a swap ash top, and that the top is sandblasted, increases the costs of raw materials and production. It is more expensive to build, and therefore more expensive to buy. Plus, it's limited edition - which, I grant, is a marketing gimmick, but that's how this stuff works.
My god... That's one of the coolest looking PRS guitars ever. It's so evil looking and yet so elegant! I want one so badly!
Maul Reed Sith.
Now we need a swamp ass finish.
I purchased the purple one and straight out of the box is the lowest action guitar I have ever seen and plays so damn good. this is hands down the best example ive heard of how the 8515 'S' pick ups can sound.
The riff for position 3 was beautiful for the humbucker and coil tapped, it has that sound that just feels nice like you could fall asleep listening to it

That's an EVIL looking PRS, I love it!
Finally a PRS Darth Maul edition 😂. Amazing guitar!!
Maul Reed Sith.
They must have a surplus of swamp ash all of a sudden. Looking forward to the Swamp Ash Custom 24-08, DGT, Silver Sky and NF3.
I mean a Silver Sky with visible wood grain would be nice.
The dead spec silver sky does, its a great guitar @joermnyc
Love that raw texture of the wood. Delish.
You have been killing it with the new SEs, now give us one CE finished in Powder Blue satin, and I'll be in heaven.
beautiful. pure class as everything you do at PRS
2024 I am so happy to buy the white Sandblasted 😇Thank you PRS.
Really great looking guitar! I may have to pick up the white version.
Bought white one!! Can't wait!!!
Stunning playing, as aways in PRS demos - you showcase your guitars and amps superbly. 😎 This is a great finish! Maybe not for me as a 65-year old singer-songwriter(?)... but the younger me just says "Ohh Yeah!". 👍
Defy convention, be the opposite of the expectation. 🙂
Get yourself one and shave years off your life!

That will become a guitar in each colour! Fun and good looks for year after year! ♨️♨️♨️

Looks like a lava flow. Dig it!
The SE line has come such a long way from the OG Santana back in the early 2000s.
Would be nice to see white background with the black stripes in it as well
Holy smokes those look smooth!! ❤

Awesome riff 👍
The top looks beautiful giving metal guitar look good job prs 🤘
I don't want one. I NEED one. Wow 🔥
I told myself I was done buying guitars. You makin' it hard on me PRS! Now I need to decide which one goes to make room for this!
I hope for a SE NF53, now you did NF DD S pickups!
Pickups 85/15s are the same as my PRS S2 great picks and lovely looking guitar
Sounds amazing as stock ❤, i want one

Super looks of course. But great clean sounds, especially tapped!
Just ordered mine :)
That’s gorgeous
Would love to see that finish on a us CE. Looks brilliant. :)
Elegantly Evil Looking Axe!

He totally did at the intro. My wife heard it and lost it.

That is Awesome. I would love to see it in a lefty
Damn. Now I have another guitar!!!!
BROOOO, take my money!!!
I'm ordering it rite now 😁
Needs color matched birds, even it’s just a color satin clearcoat. (Thinking that Gibson “widow” effect)
Hell yes!!
So it’s the same as the 499 CE 24 Satin guitars but 200 more for the finish?
Please bring back the SVN with this finish and a Floyd.
Oh the joys of restringing a 7-string Floyd… 😂
This is my favorite look for a guitar top. I wish it wasn’t such a pain to produce so it could be a more widespread option.
Its easier that a great gloss finish
Tom Effin' Walls showing the kids how its done!
I thought Brian Ewald looked a bit different 😂
The green omg
Swamp ass is my favorite
[lights cigarette] "Go on..."
I need the purple one 😅
That's some good looking Ash. ;p
This is so cool but I so wish it came with an ebony fingerboard

Oh man! It's so freaking beautiful!
It looks evil, it looks great.

Which strings /sizes were on guitar when recorded?
10s
When will we get an SE McCarty? Not the 594!
Curious to know why you prefer the og McCarty? I haven't played one.
What is the neck coating? When I tried one I couldn't feel if it was satin. It actually felt like there was no coating on the neck and it was straight wood.
It is a satin poly. The 'bare wood' feel is the point of satin or matte finishes.

Why aren't there any left handed versions? You made them before. It's impossible to find a left sandblasted model now.
Bryan got a little younger...
Ha!
Where can I get this in Singapore/Malaysia?
I got a Swamp Ash Special awhile ago and I want a second Swamp Ash... Have a MSRP yet?
@jazic82 already for sale at Sweetwater...
I’m pretty sure I heard “swamp ass” more than once. lol
First riff awesome. Anybody know it which riff?

Did he say “Swamp Ass” both times? 😂
The Swamp Ass models are being released later this year as a Gwar signature line.
Since this seems more geared towards metal players, you should've changed the bird inlays to bats, like on the old Paul Allender signatures 😉
if come with floyd rose it will be awesome

Needs maple board and black birds
How much,650??

Tell Paul to offer Maple fretboards on all these guitars..and the other guitars......PRS mostly use rosewood ...we wnat maple fretboards..just saying
7 string???
homie definitely said "Swamp Ass" hahaha funny bc thats what my wife and I laways call it. But seriously nice demo

Metal guitar look.will change pick ups to nazgul and sentient.put gotoh locking tuners and ready to headbanging.

Just wish they made one with a hardtail... they're forcing that tremolo on everything it seems like these days.
That body looks amazing but I fear dust, sweat and particles would turn that look in a complete mess and disaster.
if only there was a way to clean off dirt

I think it sounds great but I think it’s ugly. Not a popular opinion but it’s mine. I think the amount of blasting is too deep.
