    One of my best memories of living in England is Indian food. My all-time favorite is Chicken Pasanda. I have been looking for the recipe to try to recreate it. Just yesterday I cooked the Goan Fish Curry. Not as spicy though. Everybody loved it. Thank you, Hari, for sharing!

    So often I come back to your version of Indian recipes! Cassia bark, oh yes! So much better than plain sugar....

    I've made this version a few times now. Beats any Pasanda I've ever had in a restaurant! Amazing flavours. Thanks ;)

      I have made Pakoras from your recipe and they were extremely good for a first attempt, even if I do say so myself. ;-)

    Thank you. This is exactly the recipe I have been looking for. Simple ingredients, well presented and explained. Did a korma tonight because I couldn't find a pasanda recipe I liked the look of, but I'll be trying this very soon.

    Can I substitute almond paste for almond milk as I don't have a blender? Really great recipe btw

    • @HariGhotra
      @HariGhotra  8 років тому

      +J10Wilshere Hi so sorry I missed your comment. Yes, you can do but the almonds also act as a thickening agent and add a little sweetness too so you may have to add a little gram flour to help thicken. I'm not sure you will get the depth of almond flavour with just milk. You could put almond into a bag and crush them, you won't get a smooth paste and the final texture may be a little grainy but you will get the flavour. Hope this helps Hari

      Thanks so much for watching and cooking along with me. It fantastic to hear your thoughts on the dishes. I would always advise to taste as you go and adjust seasoning at the end. I will double check the amount I have said though. Thanks so much for your support I really appreciate it!

    What if you wish to make a batch to freeze for later. It's easier to make more if your the only one you are cooking for. Do you double or triple the ingredients? Any idea.

    Lovely recipe beautifully demonstrated and filmed. This will be so easy to do. All those superb ingredients - Small point though slightly nit picking is that Pasanda (according to my Indian Recipe book by Dharamjit Singh) in Hindu doesn't mean everyone's favourite it means "Pounded meat to tenderize it". But for chicken it would be interpreted as marinading as you don't need to bash chicken to make it tender though I see you bashed it to flatten it thinner. Red meat would be pounded and flattened then folded and threaded on skewers to make kebabs. Anyhow thank you for this great demonstration.

    What do you think about add. Sugar / Coconutmilk Powder? Is it more sweet then?

    • @HariGhotra
      @HariGhotra  6 років тому +2

      Hi Im not a huge fan of adding sugar to dishes. If you prefer it sweeter then buy all means you can do that - I prefer the sweetness to come through the cassia. Coconut powder does also add sweetness too so yes that's fine if you want to add a coconut flavour, it will also make it thicker too. Thanks so much for watching! Hari
