- This is, for me, 9 minutes of magic ;)
We get socially inept uber dork Reid, tender and adorable Reid, sex on legs Reid, vulnerable Reid, intense staring Reid (sigh), jokey Reid, snarky Reid, defensive Reid and oh so much interaction with Bob and Luke. Perfect? Yes! Thought so!
I love Bob's fatherly way of taking care of Reid. He knows Reid is completely RUBBISH and almost embraces it. "Cue cards?" hahaha! This is just 2 full minutes of Reid's inability to function in social situations. It's deliciously awkward ;)
We know he hates small talk and seeing him shaking Mona's hand and saying he's thrilled to meet her looks like it causes him PHYSICAL pain ;)
When Luke walks in, his face, ha! THEN is becomes one of my most cherished Luke and Reid moments. It's so domestic and hilarious. Cue their little bubble of understanding again! Luke knows Reid's hideously awful at stuff like that, Reid knows Luke's good. The LOOKS. Oh so brilliant! Van's faces had me in stitches!
I ADORE (more than words) the way Reid makes a little finger movement as if to say "what he says" ... Luke is ready and waiting to help him out when Dr Reid Oliver Uber Dork rears his ugly head ;) It's so adorable!
"the little people" .... and Reid's reply .... such genius and the timing between Van, Eric and Don. SO fabulous!
The next scene was just quite comical really. Noah's being "fake" noble, the intense stares from the 3 of them. When I showed my housemate this bit he laughed so much ;)
....then the punch. Have to admit, for ATWT it was pretty realistic even if Mona's little head blocked it ;)
"being hit is just part of being me" ... didn't know whether to laugh or awwww! Poor Reid. You can understand it though, right? :P
[Anyone else kinda swoon at Noah's sudden manliness and spark? No? Just me then! :P]
Awwww Luke, I adore you and super huge heart, no matter how misguided. That chin tilt and the way Luke CARES....I always want that for Reid.
THEN we have the most adorable giggly, typical Luke and Reid scene in the hospital. It's comfortable and easy. Reid sweetie, Noah may be able to pulverize you with his fists and gun (ha!) but you can squish him in an instant with your words (and snark).
The way Luke leans into that "face stroke of epic tenderness" TM. (ha!) ... *swoon*, Reid's face softening (kudos Eric AGAIN!) and his slight stroke of Luke's face... *double swoon*, then the almost kiss...*triple swoon*. I seriously melted. Reid.is.a.goner.
GOD... and if that wasn't all too much for you.... how much did you SWOON FOR ETERNITY when Reid said "what are you going to do with me now"
OH REID THE ANSWERS TO THAT ARE INFINITE ;)
...and "fallen for" !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved the last scene with Bob. I actually do agree with him. I think, right now, Reid would be a fool and it'd be pretty out of character for him to choose Luke. Being a doctor IS Reid and the only way he'd comprimise is on a solid promise, if then!
I'm refusing to comment on the ending scene. LUKE! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Next week should be INTERESTING!!!! :D

I still can't get over the fact that the writer's blew us a kiss: "trapped and LuRed!" Wow! I love that the spoilers made it sound like Reid would provoke the punch with his arrogance, but it was just an offered handshake! Nice sucker punch for Luke and Reid to just laugh about and bond over. Thanks Noah!

Enjoying my vacation time to re-watch some stuff, and man, the dialogues of Reid and Luke are so provocative to the imagination *mind in the gutter*

"The little hospital that could" Ahahahahahahaha. Out of the whole magical nine minutes THIS line is the absolute best. Nobody delivers it like Dr. O and Luke's face is just *what the fuck?* Reid has verbal diarrhea and just can't stop himself saying odd and inappropiate things. It's bloody brilliant - both the writing AND the acting!
When Noah swoops into the meeting, I love the sly look on his face and how the music changes. It’s like, the villain has arrived, everyone gird themselves! I have to say that I have never liked Noah more than I do now, lol.

LOL "sex on legs Reid" That made me laugh :P I loved the last episode where Noah was like "When did you start having feelings for my boyfriend?" and reid went "About the third or fourth time i layed eyes on him." That just... Ahh >:] I love Reid too much for words. I feel like such a traitor for converting to a LuRe fan, but i just can't resist Reid's occasional grins and intense looks... :P I love Reid so much... I'd love Luke just as much if he didn't stop changing his hair :P

But I agree, Reid and Luke seem to do a lot of little face touches it's so cute!
What did Noah expect? He pushed him away when all Luke wanted to do was help him get through the tough times but he wasn't having it. Noah can't just think after all is said and done he can pick up where they left once he got his eye sight back.
I can't believe that they are going to kill off Reid!! I know the show is ending anyways, but still, I don't want Reid to die either!
I think they were planning for Reid to just be on the show for a year, then have Noah and Luke back together the next year, but then when they found out the show was ending they did the death storyline to have time with Noah and Luke at the end of the show, but they had no idea that fans were going to love Reid.
My thought is that if the show hadn't ended, then the writers would have had time to realize that the fans actually didn't want Noah back with Luke.
I've watched 5:49 like, five times in a row, and I'm still not completely sure that the look on Reid's face was from pain, and that it wasn't just him sneeking in a quick wink at Luke, lol. So I'm just going to pretend it was a wink, because that would be Ultra Sweet! :D
We snagged Dr.Oliver last fall. Reid: i wouldn't say snagged as much as I would say lured and trapped! Oh! but that's neither here nor there. He has resigned himself to the fact that there is no escape.. lol He even tried being Stepford Doc. Tried is the OPERATIVE word! *HUGSs Ried*
Luke is playing with fire! He needs to make up his mind, and we totally need a temporary bf for Reid to speed up that process. ATWT writers are letting this DRAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGG now!

@TheDcfan who else is going back to their first couple of meeting to see if they can tell Reid is interested in Luke? I did!!

As you describe there is so many little details i this hole episode that is just adoreable, loving and hot you are so much better to all these words :) I'm also looking forward to the next episode and somehow I can't see how Bob dare to give that ultimatum to Reid risking to lose both a good doctor and a big donation to the hospital. Wasn't this hole episode about showing off these two guys to a potential buyer? I like Bob but don't you think that Luke will get mad at him for interfering?
Noah should has been left blind all his life ! Dr.Oliver gave him what he needed de most and his gratitude was at the low posible level of human consideration! This kind of people deserve nothing from life and fron anybody else ! ...And,by the way,I hope Luke and Noah ,in anybody's mind,will not get back together...Luke deserve better man.He is kind ,sensitive,with consideration for the need of others! Is good that the show ended so we will never know what really happen .Individuals like Noah do not deserve the second chanse ! Period !!!!
That damn Noah...after all that Luke did for him...he should be the one to have beek clocked by Reid..would have loved to seen that one...
@danielle1174 Well Danielle you are so right.. Looked at Happy's Promo for this week and it seems like Reid is going to find a way to get all what he wants. Anyway I still don't understand how Bob dares to give him that ultimatum, thinking about the risk to lose both a good doctor and a big donation for interfering in both thier life...

@Farfalla7Malva You are so right. I didn't remark it before but it fits better if the ending scene took place right after the punch, but I really think that the producers is afraid of the LuRe fans reation. If Luke once again prioritized Noah before Reid when he was the one that got hit , it would make Lukes caring for Reid lesser credible, as it would look like it was his second choice.
3) (bis)...of his own actions, & wanted to be right even for the punch?! Too bad in every sense...
4) Did you guys notice too that that last scene between Nuke seemed to have been weirdly moved from the original place(just after punch & before Luke took Reid to hospital) to that 1??I mean, even the words used by Luke & the fact he was running after Noah, even if for the soap's time between punch & aftermath should have passed quite a lot of time...Probably an hint to stress a scene over another
@danielle1174 Well this is soap world and Reid will choose his job over Luke as he is intelligent enough to know that Luke is not sure of his feeling yet to commit to him, so why lose his job?
and the benefit will be that Luke have to look inside himself and find out what his real feelings is... (Or is that what would happen IRL?)
1. I'm having great difficulties getting past the first 2,5 minutes of this clip. First Bob and Reid and then Reid and Luke. The acting is sooo good that I have to watch it 3x just to catch it all. The facial expressions!
2. Bob, after all this watching I can honestly say: you're timing still SUCKS
3. Van must be having a ball at the hair and make up department, 'cause that hair has a life of its own ;-)

I am a TOTAL LuRe fan, but when Noah punched Reid I swoon a little to. Don't kill me... I LOVE Reid, but Noah's suddenly showing a little backbone was kinda hot. If he fights for Luke the story will be better. Althouigh I still want Reid to end up with Noah.
Also it seems to me the the last scene with Luke and Noah should have happened before Luke and Reid went to the hospital.
Noah will be your type because I really don't see anything, just his big nose

REID IS NOT IN LOVE WITH LUKE! at least not at this scene...when u "fall" for someone...it doesn't necassarily mean you're in love with them....either way though..i love nuke and lure....so im happy either way it goes. lol

state that Reid is going to be up for COS of the hospital when Dr. Bob decides to retire. Then again this whole "hospital drama" storyline is flimsy and nothing more than more docblocking.
Totally agree with you honey, as usual, but just 3 more things:
1) Poor Van...Let him his little furry blonde 70ies chest...It's hot! (& I mean, not too "disturbingly macho"as other latino's 1s u can see around,LOL! ;-P)
2) Nuke's finale IMO was there just to help Noah coming back with that same reverted sentence & of course to make Luke in a difficult position with past feelings...Now instead he wanted to close up with him!
3) Noah is a sux bimbo-bitch! I mean, he never was repented
Noah is one big child and if that punch made him hot somehow then I'm the queen of Finland...... poor Reid

Noah and Luke deserve each other. And this thing about no relationship between Reid and Luke is stupid... Luke is the donor. duh...
