Thank you so much Marcin for sharing your helpful and informative thoughts about the retouching industry and your kind advices! I have been always learning from your useful videos! you're handsome yet an expert in your field! Good luck and please continue to share your precious knowledge with the world! God bless and good luck!
why so few views on the video with such a game changer information? As for beginner, these things are not obvious at all thank very much for sharing your experience
That's really important information for retouchers, as well as photographers who are building their portfolio that will retouch their own images. It'll be great if you can make another video to specifically discuss how far should the retouch go in different industries and perhaps show some images for better demonstration
Thank you for commenting! For sure I will talk more about subject. I will try to discuss right amount of retouching. I did actually talk about this a little bit before.
Hey, great video. I wanted to ask. I started doing retouching. And I want to know where I can find Raw Images. That I can show in my portfolio. And can you also make a video showcasing Overdone Retouching Images with Industry-standard ones? Thanks
Hey thank you for watching! There is some pages with raw files like model mayhem (but many low quality ones and it would be very repetitive as many people use them). It's good way to start though. Having some experience its good to message photographers directly and asking them for image in exchange for retouch. When it comes to showing over retouched images, I am not sure if it would be ok to talk about other people work. I don't want to offend anyone ;p
Amazing! I think a retoucher should be versatile, especially when he's first starting out. Speciliazing in one genre right from the start is a bad idea.
Overal if I'd have to choose. I think it is ok to have portfolio mainly with fashion images. The problem is with beauty images, many of which is often images from some tests.
Great advice something no one ever talks about. The kind of retouching done on faces in a portfolio really demonstrates to the world if a photographer or retoucher is an amateur or a real professional.
Thank you for commenting. If I see portfolio full of beauty images, it just feel odd. Why would anyone have only beauty images while most of jobs are in fashion industry? It could mean person doesn't get jobs.
I totally agree with you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
