I knew people were going to compare this team with other’s. To me this team is definitely has their own style, it’s spicy, energetic, and very much Florida. I loved it! FYI: just so yall know we don’t buck in Florida, we ride out👌🏽
I get why they’re trying to make comparisons to Stingettes because of Janae and her affiliation with the danceline, but their dance style is nowhere near Sting. And it’s true, we don’t refer it as bucking- we ride it all out til we touch the ground, which is a major key difference from bucking; plus, we put A LOT of energy into it 💯
The style is new so it will take everybody sometime to get into it. Give this team a few more years and they’re going to be very dangerous. Congratulations Janae. You’ve done a fantastic job in such a short time.

Here are some of my questions and you guys can comment on here 2 What happed to the old squad and why did they rebrand it ? With Janae being director do you think she will give them stingette style , lionesses, or both ? Why do they have five girls is it bc of COVID do you think they will add more and become a team like 10 or 12 girls ? Do you think even with a small number they will give well known fl team 14k a run for their money ? How will they perform with a small band ? What about the diamonds of famu they have a similar style and number of girls how will they match up to them ?
The squad that was at FMU was not linked with the band and the band staff wanted its own complete organization. No ties with a previous leadership. They had more girls but some dropped. They will give you lionesses not sting. The style is very SoFlo
