Kishan had a best chance in test during ind vs eng series to secure a place as replacement of pant but he took his name back from sa series, then refused ranji tournament & jurel took full advantage and won us the ranchi test in crucial situation. Ishan was our back up keeper in odi but again due to indiscipline pant/samson got the spot of back up odi keeper for now. Ishan had only chance in IPL to make a comeback but he performed below average & now out of t20i schemes to but still if he do good in SMAT & upcoming IPL, then white ball comeback is possible.

Ishan should be looking up to Sanju and learn, for 10 years he was in the same position as Ishan. With getting minimal opportunities, he was patient enough to stick to the team and not complain. Kishan had a best chance in test during ind vs eng series to secure a place as replacement of pant but he took his name back from sa series, then refused ranji tournament & jurel took full advantage and won us the ranchi test in crucial situation. Ishan was our back up keeper in odi but again due to indiscipline pant/samson got the spot of back up odi keeper for now.
Ishan had only chance in IPL to make a comeback but he performed below average & now out of t20i schemes to but still if he do good in SMAT & upcoming IPL, then white ball comeback is possible.

Now as Rohit retired in T20s, he fits into the opening spot replacing him perfectly. If Ishan could've pushed for few more series untill 2024 T20 WC, I think he would've been there in place of Sanju.

How much more Ishan Kishan need to prove as a Cricketer to be part of Indian Cricket Team. After Shikhar Dhawan Retirement, India need quality left hander in the Top especially in Shorter White ball Format- T20Is and ODIs and Ishan Kishan has got every credential to be included in Indian Cricket Team. If still not selected then this backdoor politics or not????
