This is a very good instructional. Enough details to make the techniques work in a series, but not so many details and nuances which cause wasted time. I wish all instructors had this man's skill in explaining technique
Thank you for sharing! For your information, there is an old book (1976) by a judo legend named Isao Okano that details *an entire system with this guard* (except the left foot is on the hip and left knee on the floor). It also deals with a few X guard/De la Riva sweeps when the opponent stands up and all aspects of groundwork (top position, submissions from back, turtle attack and defense, etc). The man is no joke and the book is worth reading it. The book is entitled *Vital Judo* (there are two volumes, one on grappling techniques with a few throws), it is no longer published (except an Italian version) but you can "find" it on the internet (don't buy overpriced second-hand versions selled by speculators).

Professor Mackens Sermerzier, you rock! Very excellent set of techniques, in addition to meticulous instruction.

Great instructional, thanks!!
Fantastic, informative detailed explanation of techniques, would love to have seen finishes following sweeps
Very helpful !!! I'll encourage others at my school to review/subscribe to your channel.
Fantastic instruction - thank you!
Sweet video!
Sweet!
Very good no wasted movements. Practice this and you'll have a dangerous guard against any belt. No need for berimbolos and worm guards
I remember Mackens' fight against Cub Swanson. From his fighting style, I would've never pegged him for a BJJ guy.
Chandasouk lol
After looking at all your submission wins, I realize what I said was silly lol
👍👍👍👍💪👊
JESUS excellent teaching
JESUS sweet this is my natural guard
Scissor sweep..
