  • A bit of a fixer upper on the ocean in Duck NC. So much potential. Has a great vibe! Would be a good rental, investment or 2nd home. They don’t make homes with this character anymore!

    Serious investment.
Couple hundred thousand in renovations at least, but once it’s done, it’s a phenomenal rental income.

This house has so much potential, waterfront as well. This has vacation rental income?

You must be young and know nothing about the heritage of the NC coast. Early 1970s you were lucky to find a house with central air. This is a fishing cabin. But even Myrtle beach was sparse because the ocean breaks down everything you put on its coast. Air conditioning units are lucky to last 5 years before rusting out. A beach house is constant maintenance. You can’t skip a single year without painting something. We used to be able to take our family dogs with us to a rental house for a week. There was no carpet or seriously nice things because a hurricane might come and wash it all away. Is it worth 1.3 million…..heck no. It is only worth slightly more than the cost of the lot. If you want high end don’t shop in a fishing village like Duck NC.

I wouldn't give you 500,000 for it-- too much has to be done to bring this bad boy up to code-- you people never talk about the codes --

Thank you for your comment! Yes, all of my clients passed on it, but it only lasted 3 days on the market and someone scooped it up!

Yeah, must be paying for the lot. I don't see anything in the structure that would be worth saving.
