I just started ant keeping and my favourite queen I have right now (I have 4 queens) is my golden tailed sugar ant. She has 4 workers 3 lavae and 3 eggs.
I recently got a colony of Long-Legged Harvester Ants and she has 4 workers 4 larvae and 2 eggs. I feel like I made a mistake by checking up on her too much. I hope I didn't stress the queen out too much. I will be really sad if that happens. But I will probably get another queen if that queen dies and learn from my mistakes.
I've recently gained an interest in ant-keeping and found 2 fire ant queens in my garden this week on two different days. I put them in improv test tubes (toothbrush case), fully sanitized with a pretty loose, thin layer of cotton at the opening but both of them died on their second day of captivity. I don't know what I did wrong, I left them in a dark cupboard, slightly open so they don't suffocate and didn't move them about at all.
Fascinating! Hopefully Starting ant Keepers get lucky a get a Healthy and use these tips to help their Queens grow! (even I will be using these tips 😃)

My queen ant had her first worker and i give her a jelly food then i check her 3 days and she died that us just my First queen ant but i wanted to raise a colony😢
Why isn't my queen laying eggs? She still has her wing also plus I have her a male ant and after checking it's dead and I think they mated but still she's not laying eggs and haven't removed her wings please help
Sometimes the ants creating mould outbreaks themselves 😷 🐜 Often I offer clean test tubes with the help of a connector, if the test tube is bad enough, the colony will move across within a couple of days
Oh No! 😯 I’ve had this happen before a few times with varying degrees of success. I’ve tried guiding the queen away from the honey with a cotton tip or something soft and flexible. Then place I keep the queen in the outworld, but rest her on a piece of paper towel to absorb as much of the honey possible. Remove the honey for 24hrs and blackout the entire setup with a pillowcase. The queen could die from stress, so try to make her as comfortable as possible!
@@TheAntKeeper i know 2 places outside where there is alates there is alates near a tree alates in a garden that is not ours also i just realized its harder to catch alates then it seems i hope one day i can find a queen ant even finding the males were a sign of luck
